i guess the usa values did not go very far there...it is there country and their laws and values...

it's hard to even say "usa values" anymore, now that there is such an eclectic mix of cultures, traditions, and religions here. No one country, race, sex, or religion has the patent on values! To each their own. Live and let live, as long as it is not causing innocent people harm.

I know its culture and stuff, but I think what gets to me the most is not just how young the girls are, but how old their husbands are. Yes, i know age is only a number blah blah blah... but an 11 year old married to a 45 year old?

I wonder how Afghani culture treats widows.

the age thing dont bother me too much its just old men taking these young girls like that. they would be more like a father with benifits (if u know what i mean) then a husband.

At least one of those men appears old enough to be his child bride's grandfather, if not great-grandfather. As far as the girls not appearing unhappy, only one in the three pictures is even smiling. The others don't look at all comfortable.
