This is for a K1 fiancee visa. My fiancee finally received packet #3 and is currently filling out the DF-230 form. For item #14 spouse what does she put? Also, for item #23 List below all institutions..... She's an English teacher, teaching in a Nanning Middle School, she went to what I'll call in the United States grade school, junior high school, high school, and college, earning her bachelors degree in education.

If it helps, she was born and raised in Mainland China. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you,

Keith & Xiang

Hey

I've just looked at the form sample I have. Number 14 asks for spouse's info, right? Just put N/A. You're not married yet.

As for 23, your fiance is supposed to list the schools she went to as a student. I just filled out info for the last degree I got. So I put there the name of the university I attended, when and what course I took. I didn't add any info about high school or middle school and it worked fine. However, that's just my experience with the consulate in Brazil.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

On the form I just got, they have marked in red pen 'TO BE' next to that section so I guess this does mean the soon to be spouse.....

There is an example DS-230 for K-1 HERE

As for educational institutions....I have noted posts where some members have included all schooling from grade school up....others that only included senior, college etc.

I'm kind of curious, is this a multi purpose form or is it strictly related to the K1 Fiancee Visa? If it's a multi purpose form I can understand item #14, asking the spouses name but if the form is only for the K1 Fiancee Visa then item #14 makes absolutely no sense at all.

Ok, that makes sense, I just need to open my eyes and read the BIG BOLD print at the top of the form.

Thanks
