Some people are getting so feed up with this refusal to show the Birth cert that it wouldn't surprise me is there is a -March on the Mall before it's over with.

I agree there are some reasonable questions that need to be answered. What I found painful to watch was her standing up with her birth certificate in a plastic bag and a american flag in hand, it seemed over the top and cheesy.

Sorry nick, that evidence which would seem sufficient to a reasonable person is sadly not good enough for the conservative fringe. Short of them allowed access to the original document with in person affidavits from each and every person involved with the birth and certification process, they will continue to believe that the president and his mother were involved in a massive conspiracy with the state and federal government to secretly place a kenyan born, muslim operative into the presidency.

I had to present my mess of a Illinois birth certificate twice to the USCIS, didn't have any problems, from that second article, Honolulu is even worse than Illinois.

If there is a conspiracy, it is a major one with all of Washington DC involved. For the conspiracy theorists, can only guess that is why they invented the word, "diehard".

Tried my best to learn when this country started with birth, death, and marriage certificates, got a range of dates from 1850 to 1933, but think 1933 was for native born Indians. One thing for sure, George Washington did not have a birth certificate and neither did Lincoln.

What part of the fact that it has been verified as reflecting accurately the information on the long form are you failing to grasp? He is a citizen by birth - time to move to another worry, perhaps the economy? Health care? Lots of good stuff to worry about unless you are nuts, then this is something to focus on

I wouldn't as much trust town hall meetings. Been to a number of them. Most people who attend these meetings are fed with hype and fear. They have never been to college. Although, they are hard working people, not the business people with degrees. It says alot about the mentality of these people.

Now, requirements for high standards in teaching have caused an influx of people to goto college to become a teacher. The new teachers don't like unions because they know the evilness of unions. Many of the attendees are union employees. Well, from experience, it's tough to fight an ignorant union president who has no concern for the greater good.

First article I posted above shows a newspaper birth announcement for Obama.

Really had to think back the last time I had to use my birth certificate, I met this gal from a foreign country I wanted to bring here, and was told by the USCIS I needed one. Last time I could recall requiring a birth certificate was when I was drafted, and they wanted me so bad, just had to tell them the city I was born in and they got it for their records. I never got a copy, who cares, I am here, right? Do I really need a piece of paper to say so?

Oh, I forgot about the DOS, they wanted that to give me a passport so I could visit my gal, that is when I applied to Illinois. So on the last three requirements I needed my birth certificate was for the government, the government, and the government. And if the government is keeping all these records, why do I have to chase these records down to give them back to the government? I know they want the money, can just slip them ten bucks and say you go get it.

But if it wasn't for me meeting my gal in a foreign country, would have never got a passport, dealt with the USCIS, so would be void of having a birth certificate.

The same lunatics that now claim they have a case based on "bogus documents" allegedly provided by the Obama campaign in 2008 are actually the only one's that ever claimed that said documents were bogus to begin with. They're using their own unfounded and unsubstantiated claims as the foundation of their complaint. That's lunacy.

As I said in another thread, when I had to re-apply for my passport (previous one was stolen). None other than the US passport office here in Los Angeles accepted my short form certificate as proof of my citizenship.
