More September NOA1's being approved at VSC...

This is just pissing me off... People are getting approved within a month while everyone else waits 4x as longer. I don't even want to think of some who waited years.

Hi guys,

Let me start here... I know that, due my short timeline some people are really not nice with me and even send me PM saying bad stuff but anyway here I am. From the bottom of my heart I would really like that everybody could be lucky as we were but as it's not our choice. All I can do is pray for you all and wish you all my best.

I just had my interview and my approval and I would like to share a few things to try to help you all or, at least, tell you what happened that day:

- A guy that had his interview before me, he stayed there 45 min and after that, he went to another room, and they called his fiance in USA, and after one and a half hour, he was still waiting. At the end (almost 4 hours later) he got a denied. Facts: he is 24, she is 34, he has quit his job. period. From the waiting time until the end, I can tell you, they are the real thing but seems like he forgot the Federal Police Certificate - which the Consul said it's "ok, you can send it later while we process your case" - and the fact that he has quit his job, it was HUGE on them. We could heard the Consul asking him: "How did you quit your job? And if you don't get your Visa, who is going to support you?". We don't know what happened but he got a denial!

- My interview was okay. Not easy at all, not hard also. He asked me a couple things in Portuguese like "how did you guys met and when, tell me the story", then he asked "Why do you think he is the one?" and then he asked me "Does he speak Portuguese? (...) So if he doesn't I'll assume you are fluent in English and this interview would be in English, any problem?". And he did the follow questions in English.

All he asked was about Patrick. How does he like my family and my country, how does his friends and family are about our wedding, why do I think he is the one (again), what his friends think about him and his co-workers (which I said I can't answer, as I'm not there, how would I know?) and if my first USA entry on 1997 was to met "a fiance", if he wants to have kids and when, then he asked our ages and said: wow that's nice, you guys better start some babies soon... that time he was more relaxed - he looked into my eyes like he has no soul, very intimidate - and he said: Beatriz, your papers are perfect, all requirements we asked are provided, your visa is approved, welcome to the United States of America, congratulations on your engagement and good luck on your marriage.

After that, the other Consul could answer a few questions: there is no secret on the sealed envelope, just our blood test, doctor's form and a few forms from the Embassy. He also said there is no need to have your x-ray with you, you can put it on your luggage and maybe they would ask on AOS but probably they would never ask, just in case, keep it. There is nothing to avoid you to enter to USA. Nobody can stop you at the POE. He was very clear about that. He also said: if the officer do not know what to do on your k-1 visa, or ask you to fill tons of forms, ask him for his boss.

That's it guys, I know it's not much but that's my entire experience. I'm sorry if my English is not that good, and once more, I hope it helps.

My life is perfect now, I'm here with my love and everything is great! I feel blessed, thank you God for all your plans, they are way better than I could have ever asked for.

Hey Beinha! Welcome to our little party here ;) Whoever these people are that get mad at your fortune in this experience.......well I just dont know what to say about those people. I love that you came on here and shared your story with us! Huge congrats on your speedy journey! I absolutely love reading about quick approvals such as yours cause it gives me hope, that ours will go over just as smoothly. So far for me and Damo it has been pretty painless. We hired an attorney, from day 1, cause i totally screw up any kind of paperwork that comes my way. Took me three court dates just to get my divorce, lol and it was all cause of shoddy paperwork on my end. I kept forgetting stuff, me and my ex were in agreement on everything. anywho..... really the only thing I have to do here is sit and wait and do what my attorney tells me to, sign here date there...etc. Its the one sense of security i have knowing that atleast the paperwork is correct hehe. Just waiting on the consulate to say our papers are there, and get packet 3. Sent them an email this morning and they say they dont have them yet, that it could take two weeks for them to "get" them. Hopefully soon, I would love to be holding Damo's hand before christmas at our interview

 Sorry, Im butting in your thread, but just wanted you to know that even though we can only imagine how anxious you are to get the Noa2 at this point, you also have the august & september filers rooting for you to get approved!! Cant wait to see CSC approving cases by the dozen.

Cheering you on!! I bet approval will come this week for you guys!!

Welcome Kizza!

Feel free to but in at any time!!! :)

Thank you for your post!!! I'm sorry about my earlier post about july and earlier months getting approved! hehehehe :blush: I just know any day now they will move to august filers and then the remaining filers will be stuck in daily hell for some random approval of prior months by CSC. (Wow i'm quite the pessimist today, :bonk: )

I hope we ALL GET APPROVED THIS WEEK! YAYYYY LOL

HA! you're funny! Dont worry, that's the way it should be... July and earlier filers getting approved first. All I want is to see approvals so we keep moving up on Igor's list! As anxious as I am to get my NOA2, I would freak out if I felt I got skipped in the process and I was still waiting while october and november were getting approved!

But since Im not expecting september approvals for a while, I keep checking how many July filers etc are still waiting. I try not to look at VSC at all anymore as it is too disheartening and has no bearing on our approvals anyway.

Anyway! you guys are nice! Now I wish you even more to get approved this week! (or a good continuation for the rest of you) At this point, it really is just a matter of CSC approving a handful a day and you're done!

Hi there,

I called DOS and they were able to tell me everything about my petition and when it arrived and that packet 3 has been mailed out. I don't know, but it seems really strange that they don't have your petition yet at the consulate. Did you call DOS as well? The number is 202 663 1225. You press 1 then 0. I know the consulate would have more info, but sometimes I wonder about the people that work there. If you get a chance call DOS tomorrow. I called them today and they told me the exact status of my petition.

Has anyone even been approved in the past week?

So your question lead me to some other questions...

Like, why don't I ever win the lottery? Why was I always picked last for my junior high basketball team? Why don't I ever win raffles?

Cause it is what it is. And it sucks. So we wait bc the approval is bound to come .... Maybe they just ran out of paper to print the approval notices with ... Maybe the stupid adjudicator hasn't dropped it off in the outbox or hit enter on their website to submit the update. Who knows. I know our turn will soon come.

Until then, I find myself imagining where I will be when I learn about my approval? Will I be stuck in traffic and ill just jump out of the car and start running around in circles??? Will I be asleep and wake up to a beep alert via text/email from uscis? Or will I check my mail and the envelope will just jump out of my mailbox and smack my head??? Who knows.... And I also think about the joke I will play on my fiance --- maybe I will tell him ours is headed for extended review...or it got lost and they want a new one ...and then ill call him and tell him april fools!!!!! Oh wait! Its october so that wouldn't work ... But who knows maybe we won't get it until april! Hahahhahaha

Anyhow ....hang in there....I'm sure our turn is right around the corner ... I'm just not sure what corner! Hahaha

I don't play the lottery, and if I did there is a 1 in what, a few million chance to win? This isn't the lottery. We paid for a petition and there are two outcomes, approved or denied. Same thing with raffles.. As far as being picked last, never have been, and if I was, there's a reason... Most likely you suck at the game. I have no idea how many petitions they get per day, but I fail to see a logical explanation that's valid for why people who submit theirs two months after we do get approved.

Hey-

It is called making light of the situation cause that's how we deal with this rollercoaster ride in this forum.

There is no rhyme or reason - and if you have a complaint and are looking for a valid response/answer perhaps you should take it up with uscis.

We all want to be with our loved ones - and one way or another we all will be. Bottom line, it is what it is. And yes it is like a lottery in the sense that you have no idea when they will pick up your box with your app in it.

Goodluck hope for your sake you get your noa2 soon! Hope we all get to have our loved ones next to us soon. I know I am anxiously waiting for my noa2 and every day is torture.

OK Folks - I promised an update. Recall I sent an e-mail to the DHS person a friend of mine sort of knows. Below is the edited text of the e-mail I sent.

My name is William Rogers and I am an employee of U.S. Civil Service. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me regarding my 129F

Petition submittal. My understanding is that the USCIS reviews and addresses these types of petitions on a case by case basis and in the order they are received.

BACKGROUND:

1. I submitted a completed 129F petition w/check on 18 July 2009 to the California Service Center.

2. My NOA1 date is July 22, 2009 and review time is still within the 5 month goal.

3. My Receipt Number is XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

4. I prepared my submission in accordance with the preference outlined in the Instructions for 129F Petition for Fiancée printed by your organization.

5. To date I have NOT received a request for Further Evidence (RFE).

6. To date I have not noticed that my 129F has been touched by your agency other than acknowledging receipt and cashing check. I gather this from the USCIS website "Case Status" Section.

CONCERN:

1. I track peoples K-1 visa process on various websites. I have since confirmed that the CSC has APPROVED petitions (non-expedited requested and

non-military) that have NOA1 dates beyond mine. Clearly this is not the order in which they are received.

Can you explain this to me? I am concerned mine is lost!

2. If during this process we are still in the background check stage (and if I understand correctly this is a background check for me at this time) for national security - this should be easy... I work for the Department of Defense and do not present a national security threat. Same for my fiancée

- She worked on a U.S. Army post in Korea and she too had to get checked out.

I understand that DHS Immigration and DoD are separate agencies but I think we are "checked out (for lack of better terminology)"

Perhaps by the time you receive this I will have my NOA2 - but if not is there anything I can do to speed this up? Can you tell me why others with

later NOA1 dates have been processed?

I would also like to have the name and contact information of a U.S. Government Employee, not a contractor, that can assist me in my query.

I respect the Mission and Core values of the USCIS. I too have to operate under similar principals with a strong emphasis on customer service as I

serve the members of the armed forces.

Please respond concisely to my questions - look into this as I am concerned my 129F is missing or please tell me if I can clarify any concern.

Respectfully,

William Rogers

Below is the response I got and it wasnt from the name of the person I sent it to.

"You are correct the processing time for these petitions is 5 months and you are within the processing time.

Thanks,

Officer Duddly" (-I changed the last name)

SO I responded back letting him know I spent some time writing that e-mail and that he didnt ackowledge any question and that he only acknowledged what I stated about the 5 month processing time. I told him I will take the customer service aspect up with the name of the person my friend gave me.

I will note that in the morning I checked my case status at the USCIS website and nothing - the date of my NOA1. I decided to check before i left work tonite at 6:00 PM HST and I had my first touch. Coincidence - maybe, i'm not sure BUT I am a bit more happier today than yesterday. Good luck to my friends here! I'll keep you posted

I am still pulling for you!!!

Everyday I look to see if you have gotten your NOA2!
