Just a quick question,

did any of you notice a touch in your case yet? I am just dying to receive an e-mail about our case, but so far it seems as if I got to be patient. Yarrr.. it's just so hard to wait when I want to be with Wade so badly!

Welcome, Wade and Kristen! We always enjoy having others suffer with us :devil::dance:

Our case hasn't been touched since they cashed our check (I'm assuming that's what it was) Or since they put us in a "waiting" pile. It's been since July 8th. The next time we're touched it will be for adjudication, I'm thinking. And then hopefully we'll get an approval and not an RFE.

I'm hoping that for all of us :)

Thanks a bunch for the warm welcome, Roughsweet x) .. and yes, you are right - it is suffering, although right now I can't complain because I got Wade right here with me now, visiting. He's going back to the US next week though and I am not much happy about that. Just hoping for a quick, quick process here. For all of us! I sure hope you're right about our cases regarding the 'touching' It would be great if next thing up from the USCIS is adjudication!

Welcome to our July "Sufferers" thread :)

We're hoping for a January wedding too, fingers and toes crossed. Since Chicago is horribly cold in January we might actually try to arrange a ceremony out west... Vegas? :D

I live too close to Vegas for it to sound romantic to me. Maybe I can convince him to get married in San Diego instead of just at the Salt Lake courthouse. :D

We should all take a trip to Vegas! haha

I know the minute he lands I'm going directly either to CA city hall to get married or a quick trip to Vegas (Since he has never been to Vegas) Might be a nice welcome to America shock for him.

So just wanted to wish you all a great week! I think we are reaching the point where anything can happen. I just hope none of us get any RFE's or get lost in the shuffle somewhere!!! :star:

This weekend seemed to drag on too much...and I don't know if anyone else felt the same way - But I had to chuckle a few times when I thought to myself and said "ok - there is nothing you can do but enjoy your weekend b/c even USCIS is out this weekend!" :) So it is a new week ...and I never thought I would look forward to "Business day" ...

Let's hope USCIS comes back relaxed and refreshed to process some July Apps!!! :) yayyyy...

And thank God for all of you b/c every time I get depressed, it helps knowing I'm not alone and all of you are going through the same process.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!!

Yeah, this weekend definitely did drag on and on. I'll be so glad when he's finally here and I can enjoy a long weekend again and not simply look at it as three days off at CSC!

Yesterday we hit 60 days since our NOA1. So I tried to comfort myself (and him) by saying "There, we're 3/4 of the way through the wait." But then it only meant maybe another 1/3, or 30 days to go. Or worse. Ohhhhh, the ones who get held up for months and months scare me so badly!

He does so much better than I do. Inherently so much more patient. I wish I had his British sensibility :)

I'm banishing all worry and thinking only good thoughts. Only good thoughts for all of us!!

I can relate to that - because my other half is handling it so much better. All he ever says to me is "we waited this long, another month will not hurt" ...and Really - it seems harder to wait the closer we seem to get to the "estimated" approval date. And of course, like you, I am so scared of RFE's and the ones that take months and months!!!

Has he started preparing packet 3 for the consulate interview? Perhaps premature- I told him to start on his packet around september 20th, that way it can be ready by the time the package is sent to nvc and then to the foreign consulate office. Apparently, the minute it arrives in his embassy then he can email them to set up the interview (assuming has has the packet complete).

Congrats on the 60 day mark!! That is a big step :) I'm waiting for mine to hit the 60 day mark too!

Thanks for the welcome, LoveWaits!

It's amusing to read about the mentioning of a wedding in Vegas. Wade and I have been considering this ourselves. We just want to be married fairly quickly and we won't have too many family members there either. He has also a thing for a little place about an hour away from where he lives, so we're kinda tossing both options around right now. He is far, far more easy going than I am and does not seem to be stressing when, where and what the wedding will be like.. unlike me who'd like to iron some details out already now!

I'm just dreading next week as he is returning to the US then and I won't get to see him until I hopefully get the K1-visa myself.. it's those moments I try to tell myself about the people out there who won't get to see their loved ones at all between NOA1 and NOA2, and it helps. A bit.. :innocent:

I'm just happy I found all of you guys! We can wait, comfort and cheer each other on!

We've talked about Vegas but I don't want to do a "shotgun" wedding. Her father will come here from Russia and my parents will also go so I want to do at least a formal ceremony. An outdoor wedding would be great but I think it'll even be too cold in Vegas in January :) So we're looking around for ideas but Vegas keeps popping up, I guess because it offers the most convenience.

In any case we don't want to waste any time :) We've been ready to start our life together 6 months ago! :D

My issue is being able to plan a wedding when I don't know what the date will be - and putting something nice together...So we figured we would do something special just him and i for the k1 purposes and then do a ceremony (church style) down the line when we can actually plan and put everything together.

Oh my goodness! You sound like me roughsweet! My british (Scottish!) guy is a pain too! I hate how they're so sensible... No planning wedding stuff until we have the visa?? I think that's horrible ;) And the answer to the when can we **** **** questions is always "when we are financially ready" .... right!!!!

I keep trying to get him to commit to coming December 27th since he wants to spend one more christmas with his family... but he's having none of it when I try to pin him down to dates after this last trip. I thought London embassy was suppose to be the easiest to work with when you have concrete travel plans... too bad I can't make him agree to what I have in mind. I did however get him to say January 8th sounded like a good day to have our wedding. Even though he won't stick to it now I am going to hold him to it!!!

I've decided his idea of 'financially ready' is BS.. I want! I want! I want NOW!

ONLY JOKING!!!! If I have my degree by Dec 2010 and my credit cards paid off, then we will be financially ready by MY standards. ;) I think he should be ok with it as long as he doesn't realize that it would eventually be cutting into his Xbox time.
