Hi folks,

Those waiting for your approval I would start gathering documents for your affidavit of support. I made a mistake of not doing that earlier and now I am just trying to get that together. I know all of you will be approved soon, so maybe that might get your mind off things.

Warning: I'm about to vent :)

So - my anxiety stems from all the stories I read and hear about people who petition for a fiance from Lebanon. Continuously I see and hear that apparently I should not expect anything before 5 months. (For reasons I won't go into here)

I have seen it on similar timelines for lebanese petitions and my mother just called to confirm ....apparently one of her clients happened to have their daughter who applied for her fiance from lebanon and it took her 5 months to receive her noa2. And many other stories here and there ....

And obviously it can happen to anyone and from any country ....really it comes down to the luck of the draw and the country you are petitioning from.

That being said....it is so upsetting ....

I can't even imagine waiting another week, let alone another 2 months and 1 week.

No prior marriages, no children, no criminal record, professionals, known each other for almost 11 years ....(Pretty straightforward app if you ask me) but this may be dragged out for 5 months and that doesn't seem fair....

And of course it is tolerable for now... But once they start processing August apps I'm not sure how optimistic ill remain.

It is obviously taking a toll on our relationship bc of many reasons ... And I can't stand this not knowing feeling.

And wouldn't it be great if after all this venting, I wake up monday morning and there's my noa2 email waiting in my inbox!!!!! I can only dream....

I'm getting congressman info ready ...and I'm knocking on my republican congressman's door ...and ill just keep going every week if I have to and mailing him letters every monday if I have to....(Don't laugh-it may give me a new thing to obsess on instead of uscis!!!! Hahaha)

I'm so bummed today..... And I miss him as usual!

Thank you my lovely group for letting me share my feelings with you all!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Marie - I love you babycakes, I wish I could cheer you up.

Should we start planning the July 2010 Vegas trip NOW? ;) It might help blow off steam especially if we think that everyone here will probably be married by the time that first NOA1 anniversary rolls around. You're almost 90 days into it, more than half way I hope!!

Right now we are waiting on M & F, Malarie, Maria&Nick, season, Ann Marie & Leo, RISURF and T&G to receive NOA2s. I know there I might not have included everyone that posts here, but right now my memory is crud and I just check down to people that had posted 4 or more times. If I included you and I shouldn't have - fill in your freakin timeline. :D

No, Marie. It doesn't seem fair. Like I said to you before, I think they should be judging the couple and the app, not the country. And even if it is a country where there have been fraud issues, it seems like once they have it in their hands, it MIGHT take another day, maybe two. Not two months. I don't get it, and I hate it with you. I want to believe you'll be the one to break the five month Lebanon rule. and people will say "It might not take 5 months, I heard about this one girl, Marie, who got hers in 3 months."

It definitely takes its toll on a relationship. This last week Neil and I didn't have a whole lot to say to each other because we were obsessed with this. All I can say is try to remember the things you talked about before all of this insanity. The things that made you fall in love with him. My sister told me not to lose sight of WHY I was doing this, while I was waiting. It helped me remember the big picture and make an effort to be kind to him, to talk about other things. (even though that's the HARDEST thing EVER!!)

Jewel-io, yes. we should DEFINITELY all meet up when we are all through to the other side. Neil's dying to drive out west. See the country. We're going to be having our big reception sometime next spring or summer. Maybe we'll get Vegas trip cash. B)

Before I go to bed tonight, I'm going to send vibes into the universe for Marie, Malarie, Maria&Nick, season, Ann Marie & Leo, RISURF and T&G - all of you still waiting. THAT. WAIT. SUCKS. no two ways about it.

The wait still sucks, even if you know the file is in transit. Mine got to the NVC Friday night and I got my NOA2 hardcopy this morning. Since we won't see each other until he is here permanently I feel like my heart won't be whole again until he is sleeping next to me again.

Thanks for the VIBES! Much Appreciated! PS I too have begun to notice that my conversations with Magie have turned more into business like transactions! We are experiencing BS paperwork issues with the Philippine paperwork machine (government agencies). Like she only had one original of her divorce and she gave that to the court. The court in turn provided a court order and approval of her divorce yet the NSO doesnt care....THEY TOO want an original. I told them the court has it get if from them as they wont give it to magie and oh by the way how do you folks at the NSO think she got an approved divorce from the PI courts! What a nightmare there....hope that gets resolved soon! Good luck and thanks again for the VIBES!

Aww Marie, Im so sorry sweety. We are here for you. I have heard from a friend of mine that the us government makes this a long process to put pressure on the couple as part of the test to see if your relationship was a true and stable one. (She use to work in the seattle field office of immigration.) Just remember that a few months back, the uscis was reading 6 months for it to process, and now it is saying 5 months. Dont lose faith, or hope. It will go through ok. Just dont let the process get to you. You can vent anytime, we are all still here taking this journey together.

Just a quick note to mention the hardcopy of our NOA2 arrived today, just in case others who got approved last week are still waiting and would like to know if people are getting them yet. Don't worry everyone still waiting on your NOA2, it'll come... you're almost there, don't give up hope, stay positive!

Thanks for giving a heads up! Wade did call me earlier to let me know he received the hard copy, I was really relieved. Last thing I want is for it to get lost in the mail somehow.

So how far is everyone with NOA2s when it comes to the paper preparations for the next step?

Our little group here is being stretched in all directions right now, I just wish everyone would get their approvals soon so we can move forward together. By now the wait must be agonizing, I'm really feeling for you guys, so I'm sendings lots of virtual hugs today - hang in there. Another week tomorrow and I'm hoping they'll continue their work at CSC

Hi there,

I heard the same stories about India as well, and its not always true. It really depends on the case and your case is pretty straighforward. But, I had typed a congressmans letter and had it ready just in case and I did not want to wait 5 months to do something. Th day it was delivered to their office in the morning, the same day I got an RFE. I was so happy that they did not forget about me. For my own peace of mind I wrote the letter and it helped.

It helped me to know that I was doing something about it. In your case I really don't think you are going to be waiting that long.

Take care and stay positive about your case. You will come out of this very soon. Have a great Sunday!

Good Morning/Evening to my fellow July Filers

How are you all doing? How is everyone who has passed NVC stage? How is everyone in transit to NVC? and finally how is everyone who is still waiting for their NOA2? (As you all know I fall into the last category! )

It is sunday evening (My time) and my precious will soon be receiving his wake up call (after I catch my fav show on tv) ...

I had so much planned for this weekend but did not accomplish too much!! I'm hoping I will be more productive next weekend. I found myself waiting and waiting for the weekend to end...and Just a few minutes ago, I so happily sent Jewel an msn message telling her how happy I was that a new business week was around the corner ...and a second later I realized...HOLY GUACAMOLE! IT IS A FREAKIN HOLIDAY TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!:crying: All weekend I was so excited about this week because my VJ TIMELINE says I should anticipate AdJuDiCaTiOn between 10/12-10/21! BLAH !!! And I have to go to work and USCIS will be off at the beach somewhere enjoying and toasting to the torture they put us all through!!!!

So, I wont vent too much tonight ...Even God rested on Sunday! But I will say this ... Honestly, there are some amazing and wonderful people on this site. I am so thankful that I threw myself into this forum (I'm usually the shy type) There are people who are so willing to help and listen and provide positive feedback ...It is amazing ...And it just makes me realize ..This is what America is all about ...And this is what I love about the character of our country!!! None of us know each other - yet we are there to support each other and help whenever possible ...Isn't that just amazing?!?!

So ...With that .. I wish you all a beautiful evening (if applicable) or an amazing day! We all have a common bond/experience through this ... It is just one chapter of our lives and whenever we look back at this moment (once all is said and done) All of us will always remember these moments and how VJ and everyone here played a part in it.

I'm quite sentimental today ...

Thanks again to everyone ..and I truly hope we stick together through this (I know I can be a pain and nag too much and maybe that's why my mom settled for one child only! hahahaha) but you guys are truly the bright spot in my day!!!

I really have no clue what I would have done without our forum ...and I feel like I have bonded with so many of you :)

that's it!!!

I think you have nothing to worry about, your case looks fine. Mine is even worse. I am thinking that my case is maybe a lil bit more complicated so that's why they put it on hold first coz it bothers them. My US fiance never visited me in my home country before as I was the one who stayed in the US for two years. That's how we got to know each other. In the begining, I was there carrying J1 visa, then after that, I filed for the change of visa in US, from J1 to F1 all by myself as I was accepted to study in a university for my master degree. And, my fiance is 3 years younger than me and he is still in school and just work part time so need his father to be the co-sponsor.

even though both of us have clean background, but, the 'history' I have might delay the process.

I think i will need to wait forever. *sigh
