 I have my I-134 done and submitted to my attorney!

Also everything the embassy wants as far as documentationwe are working on now Tamara is getting her pictures and he police documents now as well as her divorce documents and all so that as soon as CSC gets thier acts together we will be ready, and besides it gave us something to concentrate on besides waiting!!

Dusty

I'm not sure what the process is for the K1 when you use an attorney. Do they intend to mail everything to the embassy so that it is there BEFORE her interview? I think our plan is for him to carry and hand delivery anything they might need.

She will take all the information with her to the interview

But having it ready ahead of time speeds the process up at least in the Ukraine you do not have to wait for the embassy to mail the requests if you have it all ready you can call and schedule your interview right away

Lets Hope the CSC speeds its process up I see where most of these updates are from last week when they recieved thier NOA2 nothing from this week yet

I think I'll just submit the following:

2007 - tax returns

2008 - explain that I have an extension

3 months of pay stubs

3 months of bank statements

life insurance policy

property tax bills

mortgage statement

i-134

letter of intent

my problem: on the i-134 it asks you for the date you started living in the states - i don't remember the date? :( So I'm a bit confused about what to put for that...

Any thoughts?????

Do you remember the month?

And I do not know but in the ukraine they are pretty intense on the information on I-134 I had to get a letter from my emloyer, and a letter from the bank. and the last 2 years tax returns

:wow:

This whole journey is nothing but paper work!! I'd hate to have to read through all this stuff everyday!!

I forgot - yes I will also include the letter from employer with what I'm supposed to get yearly and my position.

Unfortunately, I have no recollection - I know I landed in the states it was either 86, 87, 88 and I think July or June - I was around 9 or 10...and I received my greencard maybe 5 years later?? That's my only problem with that form and I haven't really found an answer for this issue bc obviously most people know when they got here... :( That's my main issue right now.

On another note - do you think it is too early to request a letter from employer? I'm thinking of requesting it around the 10th of October - but I don't know if it has to be within a certain time of the interview date.

Hello Juliers! I ran across this site yesterday when my fiance and I were searching for some information. I found this topic and read from the beginning as to not repeat something already posted. Even though you don't know me, I feel I know you all pretty well. It is very comforting to know there are others in this same or substantially similar situation. Like others have said, my friends/family/co-workers are tired of my whining...not that I do that publicly too often ;)

My quick story...I met Adam in 2000 through work. My company had a Canadian client and he was my day-to-day contact. We developed a friendship through emails, telephone calls and postal packages. In 2002 he had planned a trip to San Francisco with a friend of his. As any secretly smitten girl would do, I invited myself :) We had a fabulous weekend, but very shortly after going home we lost touch...we were both so young (I was barely 22 and he was almost 24). Anyhow, we reconnected late 2008 and picked up where we left off ever so quickly. We still had intense feellings for each other after all that time...even with all our life changes. The thought of actually ending up together seemed possible. It was so exciting to be so in love! It still is! I visited Toronto for the first time over my birthday in April. He visited me in Salt Lake for the first time over the 4th of July. We filed our I-129f July 24th with our NOA1 on July 28th. As per USCIS, we are in Initial Review...like the rest of you...but hopefully not too much longer :)

I am thankful everyday that I have him in my life and I'm soooo excited for our future! On another note, I'm becoming increasingly impatient and slightly pessemistic. Trying to live our lives, plan for change, monetary need, a wedding...

Hopefully you'll all allow me to join your waiting room. I could use some company.

Good luck to everyone! Almost October 1st. I really hope someone here hears something soon!

Welcome!!! I'm also from SLC and sent in our app a week before you. The one good thing we have on our side.. weddings can be thrown together quickly here :D It's not unheard of for two people from SLC to meet and be married within 6 months, and usually it's only 2 months from the ring on the finger to walking down the aisle. :D :D :D :D

Utah is an odd place, but it is home!!! Are you planning to settle in Salt Lake? I am in Davis County, but work up by the U.

Julie - I saw there was a fellow Utard here (Adam thinks he's hilarious when he refers to me that way...he'll be one soon too though...whose laughing now!). Very true about weddings in this state! However, we plan on getting married in San Francisco. Since we met in person there for the first time, and he doesn't have any family here, it only feels right. We plan on starting out here, but who knows where we'll end up. I live in SL County (Sandy) and work relatively close to home. How about you two? Are you planning on staying here?

Heya! We are another July CSC couple..... Hopefully we will all be cheering like the VSC's soon.

I hope you all the best. Damo and I have been doing this long distance since December of 2006, so this part of the process doesnt seem so bad to us. Im not saying its not hard, but after the long road we have come down this is the easy part. We are now use to the long waits in between seeing each other, and soon the same amount of time we are use to, wont be anymore!

I keep telling him the hardest part has already happened and that was us meeting each other. What are the chances that we are all so lucky to have met our soulmates that live so far away from us. Most people dont even get lucky to meet someone as special as we have. No one I know would go through this with their significant other they are with.

I had someone tell me the other day that they wouldnt get involved with someone that lived more than a few hours away...... My response was,"Well, thats why all the good ones are still out there." lol.

Take care everyone, and hang in there!

Hugs!

Jules :)

Good morning Julyers!

It's october 1st - how friggen exciting is that!?

I'm still here, Marie, just got busy with some classes and life! I see there's some more activity with the timelines and the new June 30 approval - how exciting! It's amusing how you gave yourself until wednesday to stay positive and now something seem to be happening

Welcome to the group, Jules and Brooke! It's nice to have more people with us, the more people we can gather up in our little thread here, the bigger chance of something happening with one of us soon! I'm pretty sure once one of us get approved, the rest will follow pretty quickly.

How's everyone doing today? I hope you're all as happy about the beginning of the new month as I am. I just feel we're creeping closer to our NOA2s and I don't think it'll be too long until we have some great news. It's so nice to read about how you guys are thinking of your next package and I-134 papers. Wade and I have started gathering our paperwork as well (And guess what Marie, we're also going for a letter of employment dated at the 10th, LOL!) It pretty much feels like putting together the first package, papers - papers - papers.. but this time we're so incredible close to getting our Visas. I can't wait to be done with CSC so we can have things really moving forward. Just hang in there, we've soon done the hardest part in this process. October should be OUR month

GO CSC GO!

I'm here! Here I am, I'm here! :)

Hey Marie and Kristin and all of the new folks joining our lil group or just posting for the first time after reading our crazy ramblings for a while lol

Sorry, I have not abandoned you, Sisters and Brothers of the sitting on pins and needles club.

I just needed a break from posting for a bit. I was too depressed, too stressed, too sad. I had nothing nice or optimistic to say for a little while there! The screeching halt that was September did me in for a bit. The bad thing about having "it could be any day now" dangled in your face, is that is can be yanked away! CSC was doing so steadily well for soooooooo many months that I forgot that! I sure hope our VSC friends that are getting them so quickly and plentifully right now don't suffer that fate now that the new fiscal year is upon us and there's no reason to pad the numbers. :( man this process can be cruel.

Anyhow...onward and upward! It's October!!! I feel like I climbed a mountain to get to this month!! This is our month! No looking back!!

Happy October, everyone!

Hi Everyone,

So, I think I should introduce ourselves as we've been reading the VJ forums for quite a while, but have only just found this thread.

I'm Mark, I'm the UKC and my fiancee, Morgan is from WI. We met online something like 8(!) years ago, and have been in touch ever since. It started out as just friendly chatting, but I guess we both secretly hoped for something more! Then, one of us dared make the move of saying what we really wanted and the floodgates opened! As soon as I'd finished my degree (literally as soon - about 2 days after) I flew to Chicago and we met each other for the first time.

We filed I-129f shortly after I arrived back in the UK after researching our options here, and began the long wait... Morgan came here in early September for a fortnight and we, like everyone else here, are hoping for an October NOA2.

Having this forum is a great way to ease the waiting period, and it's good to see other people making genuine progress!

How far have people got with preparing the next stage of forms? I don't know whether now is too early, or if it's better to be prepared?

Hopefully October 1st will be a good date for some of us. Fingers crossed!

Mark

Thanks for the warm welcome! Its great to be here, and not to feel so alone in this process. I have been driving myself nuts checking the times and website, lol. I'm a photographer and got absolutely no work done last night due to reading this forum, hehe.

Happy October 1st! Hopefully some of us will hear something very soon, and give us all reason to cheer and give us hope that we will see hour NOA2 soon.

Welcome Mike and Morgan, I have been a lurker here for months, and finally decided to post this morning as well. Its funny how addicting this site can be, now that I am posting this is the first thing i check in the morning now. Ok, Im going to make myself work, I only have two thousand pictures to edit, lol.
