Hey hey VJ people!

How are you all doing? Still hanging in there I hope. I see you guys are feeling discouraged by the process we're experiencing right now, but things will be fine. They say 5 months, the estimated date for most of us are october-november and we're still only in september. If CSC picks up the approval rate they had earlier, we'll be seeing NOA2s for our group pretty soon as well. We just need them to pick up the slack, start working on their own cases again, have some more coffee, wear a thinking cap or whatever it is they need to speed up. Like my very wise fiancè told me today, i got to stop feeling depressed about this. There's nothing I can do, and it will be approved when it's approved. Tough words to chew on, but still the hard, cold truth. We'll all be with our honeys in 2010 - that is our year, so please try and muster up a little more patience if you can (and yes, I know how hard it is!) (F)

There hasn't been too much activity here this weekend, so I got to ask how you all have been? Did you do anything interesting to keep your minds occupied or got some extra time to talk with your fiance(e)s?

I did a bunch of furniture moving myself for my old grandma. 6 hours yesterday, another 10 today. Yes - crazy hours but I can tell you guys it didn't leave me any time to agonize over the Visa process

Tomorrow is monday, perhaps we'll see some movement then!

Kristin,

How sweet was your post! I didn't write much this weekend but I knew all I would do was complain and I didn't want to bring you all down.

I have kept myself busy thinking and thinking... Praying that it doesn't take a long time and praying that nothing crazy happens with our files!!! I.e. Rfe or lost somewhere...

I have been reading a lot about the process and this whole background check thing scares me...last night I went down memory lane thinking... "Wait I don't have anything wrong with my background do I!?!?!" Hahaha

You are right though...I am giving myself till end of october to officially lose my mind!!! I guess I had hoped for a thanksgiving meal or christmas meal together and it doesn't look like its going to happen... :(

We talked for a couple of hours this morning and that made me happy...and now a brad new week is upon us!!! Yay for that...

But everýone in our group is never far from mý mind and I keep thinking how happy I will be when someone from our group gets their noa2!!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Tomorrow is a new day :)

-Marie

Hi, everybody!

I just read Kristin and Marie posts, so I wanted to share my experience of how to get distracted while waiting and keep the mood up!

1. To talk to Nick everyday. What we like the most is to connect through Gmail chat so we can use the webcam to see our faces. :D

2. We watch movies together. We get the same movie and play it at the same time while the webcam is on. We started to do it while we were dating (it was his idea, hehehe). And so, while watching we comment what we are seeing, or laughing at the same time.

3. I'm studying Japanese (I always wanted to do it, and at last! I have the time to). This has kept my attention busy. An extra motivation to do this is that Nick is half Japanese (his mom is Japanese) so I can get to talk to my mom-in-law in Japanese (a very "Tarzan-ish" one) and it helps me to practice it (no, Nick doesn't speak Japanese, just a few words).

4. Work Work Work! But that's only on weekdays.

Well that's about it. Basically, to spend a lot of time online/over the phone/etc. with Nick. I miss him a LOT!!

Keep the mood up, people! My best wishes are focused on only on our NOA2 but in yours too.

I'm sure someone will get a touch the upcoming week! Go CSC go! :)

Hi all,

Kristen i completely agree with your Fiance that there is nothing we can do,it will happen at its time and i also agree with your thoughts it is hard to chew tough words.

Before filing the application we were thinking that we will be together by thanksgiving and spend some time with her parents during her holidays which i think is not possible keeping in view the progress of csc, so m hoping for christmas and new year now.

This weekend skyping with my fiancee, listening to pink floyd at the same time and watched couple of movies, attended friends wedding and praying for the process to be faster.

I am hoping someone from our group recieves the much awaited NOA2 in the last week of september.
