Any tips of fighting jetlag? I only have one experience with going to Europe and my experience during the first few days was horrible. :(

I know I don't belong here b/c I am a VSC filer, and will unfortunately be WEEKS behind all of you in the process...but, when I fly, I pop 3 Tylenol PM about 10 - 11 hours before expected landing in the foreign country (not sure if that is considered an overdose or not?). This allows me to sleep soundly through anything, completely unaware of my drooling on my neighbor until landing.

07-17-2009 I-129F sent

07-22-2009 NOA1 date

07-24-2009 check cleared

07-30-2009 NOA1 received via snail mail

10-14-2009 NOA2 (we were around #187 on Igor's List)

12-30-2009 Interview in Madrid!

02-01-2010 Visa in Hand - finally!

Hey Kristin!!

I was thinking I would take one of my prescriptions. The last leg of my flight takes off at 8 pm and lands at about noon in London. 9 hour flight!! I can bring the report from a jaw pain specialist in case they question my bringing pills into the country. After 9 hours I hope it will have worn off enough to not make me too loopy to get through customs.

Going east does seem tougher!! The good thing about all this is that in 6 months we'll all be with our sweeties, or at least VERY close to being with them!! Then hopefully there will be a lot less west-east, north-south travel... PLUS, we wont have to wait up all night and lose sleep just to say hi!

GOOD NEWS!!! We all move up several spots on Igor's VisaJourney List in just a few hours!!! The projected processing times also went forward a few days! Most of us are now a week or more into the wait. Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the good news reminder, Jewel! We could all use every bit of it we can get to make the separation easier. Hopefully things will continue to move quickly and problem free for all of us!

Thanks roughsweet! It looks as though SO FAR we have THREE July 09 posters that will be going through London and TWO that will be going through Moscow. Just wanted to point that out. I havent heard much about the Moscow consulate, but while reading through the UK Regional board I have learned alot about London. Maybe some of us will be at the consulate the same day! :D

Hmmm... Not sure about that, seanyb, when I check Igor's list I see you as 286, Jewel as 284 and myself as 264. Am I looking in the wrong place? It's possible, I do tend to confuse myself easily with all of these dates and numbers!

Jewel - it would indeed be sooooooo fun to be in London at the same time!! Either way it'll just be great to go through it with people who understand and are going through the same thing, right down to the same consulate!

Ohhhhh, that's the problem. you're looking at the Berkeley list and I'm looking at the one here on VJ, under Immigration Timelines.

By all means, go with the one with the better number! My fiance always reminds me, when I become obsessed with our Igor number, that it only reflects the people who fill in timelines. But it still makes me feel better!

Wouldn't that be awesome?! Would be my dream to have each SC hire an extra 100 people to work through the backlog :) but every morning I wake up to reality and mark another day off the calendar.

Welcome and thanks for joining our waiting lounge :) :)

We're all just watching with baited breath and hoping that the CSC doesn't slow down in a long trend, after working so quickly for so long!

*drums fingers on the desk* I'll just be doing this for the next few weeks... doesn't bother anyone, does it?
