That's true - we're almost done with september and I'm happy for each new case they approve. As hard as it is to watch the list the days they only approve one or two cases, we got to remember how it suddenly makes a big jump. Who knows? The next big jump could be today!

At least I hope today will be another big jump before the weekend. I took Wade to the airport today.. I'm still a mess about it, and I don't think I've ever had such a hard time leaving him as I did this time around. He's been here a lot now, but today was for some reason even more heartbreaking  As I was leaving the airport (because I can't stand to be there when the plane takes off with him..) I kept telling myself; this will be the last time we have to do this! I couldn't help but think of Nancy and the rest of you guys here at VJ on my way home again. It helps knowing that I'm not in this boat alone and we all just got to stay strong and brave through the rest of this process. We're so close.. closer than we've ever been before

Awwwwwww, what a tough thing to do, Kristin! I still tear up just thinking of leaving Neil that day in July :(

I'm sending you HUUUUUGE virtual hugs today, girl! And you're right, we are getting so much closer! Maybe our bad moods this week have been a darkest before the dawn scenario.

Hang in there, you'll be with him forever before you know it! (L) (L) (L)

I really feel the same way as you, Kristin.

It's been 6 months since the last time I touched my wonderful Nick.

We see each other by webcam every night, talk to each other more than once per day by the phone... but still, I need to be with him

Sadly, because of financial reasons he won't be able to come here.. we are saving for a new place, and he needs to pay his school loan, we need to save for the visa and AOS process.

The rest of the VJ guys probably have similar situations, or feeling the same.

But don't worry! I'm sure everybody at the beginning of January will be in the arms of our beloved ones!

And ... GO CSC GO!!!!

Well the problem with me is i ve been smoking Pot regularly from couple of months and i am not sure is Dope test included in the medical tests for visa application. If they don't ask, don't tell them. I would never VOLUNTEER any medical info. It's just a body after all!! As long as you're generally healthy and not going to bring in any infectious diseases than I dont see why they would wnat to ask anything else.

I seriously don't know if we can finish this process. I'm sick of waiting and I feel that we're both getting disconnected from each other.

Nevermind, as long as I find something else to talk about it might be ok... Geez this sucks today. I always feel a lot better when I actually speak to him on the phone, but TMobile charging me $.69 a minute is not fun. I wish my ####### fiance wasn't so opposed to skyping.

I'm so sorry to read your two new posts here, that must feel pretty awful! You do know you can use Skype nontheless, even though he doesn't like it? I'm in a position where I don't have the time to sit down and use the computer to communicate, so Wade's paying 6 bucks/month so he can call all landlines PLUS all cellphone numbers in my country. Meaning he is on skype, while I'm using the cell. Perhaps this is something that can work for the two of you? That way it doesn't matter if he's opposed to skype. Just a tip :)

Maria, Nancy, thank you both for the kind words! It's so incredible nice to find support here from VJ, and I'm so fond of our little group here. I think we all feel the distance between our honeys deep inside.. some days a whole lot harder than others. I just had an hour nap myself, and things feel a little bit better. At first when I woke up, it felt like his presence this summer perhaps was all a dream.. strange how that is. Suddenly the house got ALOT more quiet.. Just like you two, we can't really afford to see each other again before this process is over. Let's just hope for some speedy days ahead. CSC just better be ready to kick some butt after they have this weekend off, huh?!

Definitely just use Skype to make the call, its cheaper than 69 cents thats for sure. I call all the way to Siberia, yes Siberia, and its 4 or 5 cents a minute to a land line.

We've been having a rough go this week too, partly because of the stress the process puts on a relationship and the stress Russian life is putting on her. We are committed, there is no question about how we feel and that we will see this through, its only the affect its having on her emotions. We just talked things out, she's really stressed out but fortunately she has a caring father thats been very supportive. Everything is good, she's a trooper :)

My point is, we all go through it, its not easy for sure... as she always tells me; "Lets just focus on our future and how it will be once we're together". Its a cruel, lengthy process..but a small price to pay if you get to be together after its all done.

So USCIS's site is down. I decided to call and talk to someone even though I knew they couldn't tell me anything. He couldn't even look up the processing timelines today. It will like USCIS operators couldn't do a single thing besides write down my name and receipt numbers with a pencil.

So... I made the decision that I was going to compile a list of suggestions and call them back with them. Here's what I got so far:

1) Don't let the systems be down.

2) Onsite cafeteria at CSC. Let them eat at their desk and approve more files.

3) Use the $455 to actually get the applications processed. Spend less money on storing them, and more money on having people review and approve them.

4) A bonus system for employees that make the most YES decisions.

5) Ban Facebook and online forums on the firewalls, those things are such time wasters ;)

I was hoping to come up with some goofy ones.. but my brain isn't working right now. Anyone have anything off the top of their head?

I can't find enough peace tonight to go to bed so I can sleep.. which had me pondering all sorts of stuff instead. Does anyone know exactly what'll happen during the medical checks? Wade thinks it's just a normal 'physical' like they got in the states.. only problem is, we never do normal physicals here. You don't go to the doctor in Norway just for a routine check.. you go because there's something wrong with you, and if so the doctor will examine whatever is wrong with you and nothing else. I have normal health and nothing that should cause any issues with passing the medicals.. but I get nervous and stressed out around doctors, for no apparent reason. I stress this even more so because I have no clue what'll happen during the medical.

I did call the immigration doctors we got here for some more answers, but they kept telling me to call back after I have my interview date on hand. So now I'm kinda in limbo regarding what to think about the check itself. The lady on the phone said they don't do any blood testing or x-rays, so I've to arrange for that through my own doctor. I have no idea how or where I can get my vaccination records, or which vaccinations I will be required to have prior to entering the US?? Would be nice if we had a medical wiz among our group here who could fill me in some :star:

Anyway, enough medical pondering for one night. I'm going to make another attempt of getting some sleep. Have a wonderful friday and weekend everyone. Only 2 more weekends left of september!
