Welcome, Maria and Nick! Thanks for joining our group, it's great to have more love to celebrate! (L)

Hey M and F...

I'm certainly no expert with the affidavit of support stuff, but I have been reading lots of threads on it all in preparation for packet 3. Here are a couple thoughts.

Have you looked at the website for your embassy, or a thread on here about interviews at your embassy? those reviews will probably tell you what items people were asked for at their interview. Some embassies care more about proof of relationship (higher fraud countries) Some, like London which is ours, care more about the financial stuff and don't even ask that much about relationship at all.

I know that tax transcripts are used to prove that you made what you said you made, obviously. But I think they care more about what you're making now. Meaning, if you have lots of pay stubs to show your current income is good, but your tax transcript numbers aren't great, they care more about what you're making now.

Could you take your 06 and 07 transcripts, and your current pay stubs and explain to them that you have an extension, but that you'll have your 08 in time to file the I-864 for AOS? You or your fiance could call your embassy and see if this would be acceptable.

If one of our group members doesn't have some definitive advice for you, you could always post your question in an I-134 thread.

Hi Sweet ...How are you today?

You are right, I will look around in the rest of the forums to see if I can find anything. The problem is with the little that I looked, I have not seen a lot on the forums specifically regarding the embassy in Lebanon and what they would need (i think maybe I need to look in more detail!) But I did print out everything their website said we needed ..and I have started kind of putting everything together. But I didn't see tax returns specifically stated on the affidavit form for k1! maybe it is something they need when you do the AOS? Ok i will look around and see what I can find! :)

Yay for Tuesday...Tomorrow will be our 60 day mark, I feel like that is a huge milestone to celebrate!

Hope everyone is doing good.

Thank you sweet :)

Anytime! I just wish I had more definite answers for you, but I know every embassy is different. If all else fails, call the embassy directly and ask them, go right to the source.

Congrats on your 60 day mark tomorrow, how exciting!! It's getting sooooooo close, isn't it? I'm doing well... anxious, hopeful, excited and obsessed - just like the rest of us! September is waaaay better for me than August was. That was the longest, hardest month for me. September seems full of hope and going by a lot faster.

My birthday is next week. and you KNOW what I want! :D

As someone else said, better to give too much than too little. We've already prepared our next packet and I sent her a copy of my offer letter from when I started, a letter from HR with my salary information and my last 2 year tax returns and W-2s. I can't see them needing any more from me, so I'm focused more on relationship stuff. I plan on sending her an output of all our Skype history for all the months we've been waiting, all the way up to the days before her interview. That ought to be fun for them to go through as we talk every day, 2 or 3 times a day, since our relationship began, so they will see pages and pages of calls :) I figure after a few pages they'll realize "okay, its real" :D

Sweet:

I'm doing ok. :) Thank you :) A little nervous about it all. I think since we are getting so close i'm petrified about rfe's and missing files. Last night I dreamt that 10 people got approved (june filers) which moved us up.

I just finished talking to my fiance and now it seems to be hitting him too. He has no one but me here and I think he is overwhelmed about everything. He is happy - but it cannot be easy leaving everything you have known all your life for one person!! :) I feel for him. I just know when he comes - I really need to dedicate a lot of energy, patience and love towards him for a few months because he has never been to the states and to land directly in beautiful los angeles is going to be quite an experience for him. I have known him for almost 11 years !!! Can you imagine?!?! But the problem was we were too young and I thought it was too difficult and too complicated with us being so far. Then it just hit me one morning ...and I realized how crazy I am because something like this may only happen once in a lifetime!! :) I just get nervous about him liking it here and making a home here. Is that normal? Normal fears??? I have brought this up before I think in this forum ...I just put myself in his shoes and think that it must be a bit overwhelming. :)

Other than my rambling - I'm at work. Ever since I started this processs I can't seem to focus on anything but this...so work is just a pain and I keep thinking ...that once I have him here things will be so much more calm :)

August was faster for me! September is a bit slow but maybe the anticipation. You know which was the worst?!?!? JULY!!! omg...August 1st wouldn't come fast enough!!!!

Ok...enough from me!

btw- thanks for asking :)

You are super organized. That's probably the smartest thing to do. If I may ask - what did you ask your HR? I need to do that too and I'm not sure how to ask them? Or if I have to explain everything to them??

Awwwwww..... what a beautiful story you two have! I have the exact same fears about Neil liking it here. That he's giving up his friends and family and his home. But he always tells me "I want to be with you. I would go wherever you are." :) But it is a lot of nervous pressure, like you're responsible if he's not happy. I think we just need to give them all the love in the world and most importantly, the space to adjust. It's in my nature to try to fix everything.

He will LOVE L.A. (who wouldn't) and most importantly, remember - he will be home - because he'll be in your arms. :)

Oh. and yeah. work annoys me too. Everything does that isn't about getting him here as fast as possible.

Your last post really brought tears to my eyes ...i think we just need to be supportive and yes the space to adjust. by nature I like to fix everything too and that's exactly how I feel - the responsibility to be happy. I am certain that once he gets settled and we make a home and family together everything will be ok. I also know we will be making lots of trips back. I told him today - remember - it's not like you are coming here and you are leaving everything behind...as soon as we can we will go back and visit as often as possible. :) I want him here by turkey day!!!! what a great way to get started here ... but i know that's pretty doubtful so i'll settle for christmas if I have to.

we will need a group for us to keep in touch once our loved ones do finally arrive!!!

I had to chuckle about "Everything" annoying you. Could not have said it better myself. This forum has seriously become my therapy and my escape. It is the only thing keeping me remotely sane at the moment.

The averages are roughly 100 days from sending the I-129F to the NOA2,

and another 100 days from the NOA2 to actual visa in hand.

So far you've waited 60 days but I doubt that the bureaucracy will move

any faster if you call before 90 days are up. I filed mine a month after

yours but I've checked for any possible way to speed it up and I doubt there is.

...Am I crazy for wanting to call CSC/USCIS to get an update or to check on the file? I mean I recognize the fact that they have not touched it or anything ....but still? Has anyone else thought about calling??? lol

:blush::innocent:

Can I join in ??

I have been reading your comments and getting support from them for over a month guess I'm a little shy :innocent:

Ugh.. I am not having too good of a day here today. I've just been sitting here reading everything you guys write, because it's helping me to feel better. I think I'm feeling depressed because Wade is going home on friday.. just thinking of it makes me want to break down in tears. Silly, but I just hate the fact I will not see him until all this is 'over' I keep reminding myself that I should be happy because most of you are without your partners right now - but still it's so friggen hard! I hate the thought of taking him to the airport - and seeing the plane take off. I usually leave as he is boarding because I don't want to see him actually take off into the skies.. and far away from me. Bahh.. I'm sorry guys, don't mean to dump all of this on you guys - but don't really know where else to vent! Other people simply can't understand the process or what it really means to be parted from the ones you love, you guys however can! It's so irritating for me right now to see couples around me who complain about small annoyances they have with the one they're with.. at least they have someone next to them who can annoy them!

.. anyway, I'm going to jump off the complain train here. Happy thoughts!

Igors is moving (sorta.. slowly), we are in september and soon, very soon, we will all be with our honeys!

Of course you can join in! We'd love to have more people here, like it's been said in the thread before; the more, the merrier! We're kinda like one big, impatient family here, lol! Welcome to the july 09'ers thread! :star:
