She seems to be doing better than I am at the moment. I am ready to send my congressman a reminder so that maybe something will get done soon.

I would do that for sure, don't let him drop the ball on you now. You'd think they'd approve your case soon, especially seeing how you seem to have a fairly easy case - too bad they're taking all these days off work. Go nudge your congressman regarding your petition again and hopefully we'll see some results soon! It must be torture to wait like this. Hang in there, though, there's always light in the end of the tunnel - even if it's dim at times

Hi everyone. Congratulations to those who got their visas or NOA2!

Our application (I129F) was received by USCIS on July 20, 2009. Today I called NCSC and the person said they can't accept a "service request" because they are processing applications from July 16, 2009. They suggested to calling four days from today and ask for the processing date at that time. I called the congressman on July 10 (not heard anything yet).

Please advice.

I think Marie kept calling and demanding supervisors.. they are tough cookies and never do as much as we wish they would though. Keep calling CSC, find out who handles immigration at the congressman's office and keep contacting them.. some even have an email form on their websites. Sorry this has been such a pain!!

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

Ok ...so here's the deal. Obviously every case is different ...but everyone knows in this group that I obsessed and harrassed everyone I could for my noa2. I sent charts and all kinds of things to my congressman. I called USCIS and demanded to speak to a supervisor. I was only at my 3.5 almost 4 month mark when i started. I emailed my congressman 2 times a week and called to verify whether they received my emails. Did you sign and send the privacy authorization form ?! Did you find the person who actually handle immigration issues at the congressman's office? Although you probably wont have much luck bc of the holidays (assuming). Keep knocking at everyone's door. Really ...and p.s. I didn't stop at NOA2. I harrassed my embassy on a weekly basis even before they got my package! hehehehe That's bc my embassy has a lot of issues and I did not want to sit in AP...but i'm sorry yours has taken this long ....just keep trying whatever you can. Next step? Go to your local congressman's office in person and plead your case.

To all who have heard me complain and anticipate AP after the interview ... I had good reason. See below.

So to my friend's urging (jewel) after the interview - she told me to call DOS.

So I tried on the day of the interview ...no luck getting through.

So I call today (yesterday being the interview).

I get a lovely lady on the phone...

Tell her I need a status check on my file ...k1, fiance ...case number blah blah blah

Then she disappears

I said hello? She said: hold on

I said ... I know it is probably too early bc systems haven't updated yet ...but just thought I would try...

She says ... hold on please and disappears ...long moment of silence

Then all I hear is: "wow"

I said what!??!

She said: It's a miracle

I said what??!

She said: His visa was issued today, Beirut always takes months!

I said ...(Insert nervous/happy/excited laugh here) thank you...thank you ...byebye

I think I will go to church this christmas ...heheehe ;) I'm so happy!!!! I don't know what my other half did ..I called him and said what did you do during the interview?!?!?! Even DOS is shocked you got it so fast ...his reply: I did magic.

I can't believe it ...and really thought I would be stuck in AP.

He gets to pick it up today (his time) wednesday !!!!

Aww Zahid, I am so happy for you! I thought I had a long journey ahead of me on the 28th (24 hours altogether) but 30 hours! Wow - that's all I can say.. but yes, so worth it when you can be with your sweetheart afterwards! I hope you'll have a smooth POE and a comfortable flight, even thought it's a long one :) Keep us posted as soon as you feel up to it, you know we'd love to hear all about your POE, first days with your girl etc :D

Ohhhh and Marie! I can't believe you skipped AP, that's excellent news! Even though you waited for the NOA2 for so long, it seems as if everything after that has been more speedy - and good for you! It's no fun being without our guys! Soon you'll be with him, january is right around the corner (L)

And as for myself, I am finally starting to get a bit nervous about the flight over to the US. I am not the biggest fan of being on an airplane, but I am trying to be a good sport about it. It's all worth it once I'm with him :)

Yes, there's been some stress and tension because of it for sure. ;)

On another note, I have started calling Dave everyday on my lunch break abuot a month ago. It has become a running joke that no matter when I take my lunch during a 3 hour stretch he is for sure eating dinner. If I call late or early it doesn't matter he will be eating. ;)

Seems to me there's one sort of stress or the other all along this process.. wonder when it will all come to an end? I would say after the wedding, but nooo - got the lovely AOS road ahead of us for that. At least us immigration folks aren't bored, eh? Well, perhaps eating is Dave's way of dealing with stress.. he might just sit there eat 24/7, could explain why you always catch him eating :D
