I actually really enjoy this group.. I love getting an update each day of how everyone is feeling.. funnily enough it is usually the same as me lol...

I'll def keep this up to date throughout the whole journey and also interested to see how you all get on after!! I just have such a good feeling that we'll all get processed in time and I really hope no one is left waiting...

maybe in the future we could even sort something like a reunion lol in a neutral place?? just an idea and maybe it would be fun!?

I would simply love that! I do hope we all keep in touch, even after the dreaded NOA2 wait. I plan on hanging out here throughout this entire journey, and if I know myself well enough.. I'll still be lurking here later on too  I can see Wade and I coming to a reunion with you guys, think it'd be lots of fun ^^

Speaking of, I see your local office is in Seattle, Seanyb! We might not land too far away from you, as we're going to live an hour away from Seattle :star:

I do agree, the site is awesome and I can't believe I did not find this thread until now. Much like you, I also love our little group! Wade's living in Olympia right now, and after I get there we will relocate somewhere in the area.. we will need a bit more space, but don't want to go and change the address right now. So that's a project we'll be doing once we're finally together. How about you guys, where in the area do you live? ... and yes! The price of beer (and everything else!) is truly horrible here, haha. Wade's been here often, but still never got used to our prices.. he almost had a heart attack when he had to spend nearly 200 dollars at a chinese restaurant for starters, dinner and dessert only :innocent:

yeah and even more upsetting is trying to budget there.. going to McDonalds and its like $20 for a large meal! we did find a few good local places round the corner from my apartment in Oslo that sold beer for 26 NOK so all was not bad!

Sarah has an apartment in Greenwood just outside downtown Seattle (like 6 miles) so we will probably stay there until we get sorted and I start working out there. Just sensible finacially.. I have found a few new places I like in the area. However we want to move to Tampa Bay in a few years after Sarah has finished at University since she studies part time at U of Washington.

Well Olympia isnt far at all.. it would be a shame to not at least pop over and say hi! And I miss glog too!! (sorry i cant find the actual letter with the 2 dots over it) :-)

Yes, Wade did ask me where the $1 burgers would be found.. afraid it's not in Norway, lol! I've been to England a few times; New Castle and London and like it a lot. I find everyone to be much more polite across the pond ;) Gløg is something I will miss in the US.. so perhaps it would be smart to have my family send some for Christmas now that you mention it, tehe.

You guys won't be far away from us at all, I'd be a shame if we didn't say hello to each other before you head over to Tampa Bay (and I could stick you with a bottle of Gløg too! ) It's always nice to see other people having long term plans, funny how we kinda put life on hold until we get to our POE x)

hey im there!!

yeah my life is completely on hold.. I've just loved South in England for a Job and its a shame as its such a good opportunity too.. But I feel like im just keeping myself busy until I can move to Sarah. I'm just wading it out here really.. just got myself a room in a shared house.. who cares right? the way I see it its just a few months.. I feel very awkward telling my employer I will be leaving though but I guess you have to look after number one and I have a wedding to pay for :-)

but yes lets all stay in touch and I truly wish you all a smooth and quick process b/c I completely understand what everyone is going through!

(oh and I realised I actually spelled glog wrong lol.. i thought it was the letter with the dots :-) )

Good morning (Good evening and Good afternoon) everyone!!!

Just wanted to tell you all once again how much I love this forum! :)

Can we come visit seattle?? Never been and always wanted to check it out!

we should definitely stay in touch... Where do we all go from here once we get our noa2?? Is there a new forum one of us will create for the next phase?

We will be living in california (orange county)...sometimes LA because I work in LA and OC.

You know what kills me - right now I'm literally 15-20 minutes away from the CSC - I can't stand that it is so close and really there is nothing I can do about it.

Last night I had a dream that processing times on uscis website for our service center went down to 4 months instead of 5!!!

But yes! Let's keep in touch :-)

Are most of you flýing in alone or with your significant other??? I was reading the forum for my POE and a lot of the people had actually flown in with their fiance.

Tomorrow is a new day and new week! :)

Hey everyone, happy Sunday!

I'm in the midwest, in Michigan. Neil and I have talked many times about a road trip out west once he's here. See my friends in L.A. where I went to college, and show him this great land of ours. That would put us out west for a reunion/meeting at some point. :) I'd love that!

I think in terms of a new thread for post NOA2, that maybe we should just stay right here. I see all kinds of posts from the '08 July folks, who are now together, married and going through AOS, but still checking in, talking, laughing and supporting each other. We could just keep this group right through all of it. I mean, we'll always be July 09 CSCers no matter what phase we're in, right?

Just my two cents. I'll follow you guys wherever we decide to go.

Tomorrow's the start of the weekdays! more approvals!! we're getting SO close, you guys!

Good morning to you too!

I agree with Sean, the more, the merrier! You should all come to Seattle and we can hang out in the rain :D

Although I don't mind traveling either, in fact Wade's mother lives in Cali so I know we'll be going there to visit as well. M and F's comment about the dream last night actually made me laugh here, so thank you! I am glad I'm not the only one who let this process follow me night and day! Regarding the POE, I'm also coming in alone. Wade's here now and both for financial and practical reasons, I'll be doing that part of the journey by myself. I'm also sad to leave some of the things in my life here in Norway, but it's all worth it for the life I will be creating with Wade in the US.

Haha that's true - we will all always be july 09'ers!

Are you kidding me??? I totally live and breath this process right now :-) and yes I am making myself sick over it! :)

You guys and my other half are the only people I can vent to - my friends are tired of hearing about it and somehow it is hard talking to people who don't know anything about the process! Lol

I was thinking of meeting him in europe and flying to the states with him - but so true - practically and financially speaking - it is not an easy thing .... I'm sure he can manage just fine on his own :-)

I say we all celebrate with a drink the first day we actually see the first july filer get their noa2 on the list! Omg I might just scream that day!!!!!

That is so sweet :star: I read your post to Wade and he just said you're as bad as I am, lol! Yesterday I decided to try and pipe down so I would not think of it so much.. let it wait over the weekend when CSC is back on track again. Well.. that failed big time! I can't stop thinking about all of this, and it's so nice to see that everyone else is feeling the same way! I'm with you regarding the drink as well, would be awesome if the first july filer get approved before Wade leaves Norway but I don't think it'll happen quite that soon. We're almost there though and I am so excited!!

I'm the EXACT same way... it's all I think about and all I want to talk about. I had to giggle when you mentioned that your friends are sick of hearing about it. Mine are too, I'm sure, and I also feel like I've learned to speak a foreign language that they can't speak. By the time I get half through talking about my NOA1, my NOA2, how I hope I don't get stuck in AP at the NVC, and how I hope we move quickly through the embassy to get to POE, their eyes are glazing over and they've tuned me out, I have NO doubt!!

That's why we have each other! And I too will raise a glass high for the first NOA2 couple!! cannot wait!!
