M and F - Thank you and wishing you a speedy journey as well. You got the most important thing out of the way, and now it should be a breeze.

roughsweet - Thank you and wishing you all the best as well :) Your interview is in just 5 days. It will be fine I am sure of it, we just have to keep thinking happy thoughts.

Congrats to M and F and best wishes for Star and roughsweet on the interviews. I'm hoping everyone at CSC got all rested up on their long weekend and is ready to crank out some more approvals. (mine included lol)

Steve

Thank you :). I hope you get that NOA2 VERY soon. You have been so patient through all this. Just hang in there and don't give up on making any inquirys on your case to USCIS or your congressman.

Thanks for the kind wishes, Steve. I'll be sending many your way as well. I hate it when they use the "within the 5 month processing time" to cover their butts, as if 5 months is the norm. If it actually TOOK 5 months most of the time, it might be an explanation. But the truth is, it usually doesn't. It just keeps you from being able to do anything about it, which is unfair. :(

Stay on them just like Marie did. She was sending copies of August filers getting approved to her congressman's office at the end. Whether it works or not, it gives you something to do. How frustrating!

We will all be sending up strong wishes for your speedy approval. :)

I'm taking a poll:

How many times a day did people call NVC?

Yes - humor me.

Someone told me only call once a day in the evening.

Seems kind of hard to do that.

I was thinking Morning, Afternoon and Evening (This seems a little OCD - although not surprising for me)

I think that their system only updates once a day anyway and it seems to be 24 hours behind ...

Or I don't feel like working- So I thought I would write this post.

Have a great start of a new week everyone.

I would call NVC and then DOS once a day, usually. Just because I was too down if I called and was told no all the time. But the day we got our interview, I called twice, and I cannot explain at all what made me do it. I'd been told "no interview date has been set." Then I was driving home that afternoon and something compelled me to call again. I did, and our interview had been scheduled.

I strongly advise not calling from the car in a situation like that, as I nearly drove off the road.

I called twice a day. Called when I woke up then again after their shift change, but anyways I called at around 5pm pacific time to see if there was any update. They never mind you calling, and everyone was always really nice.

I can completely relate to that. I had so much trouble getting a hold of NVC, but thankfully they have longer working hours then USCIS. I ended up always calling them while I was driving, and always had them on speaker phone. But, once I almost nearly drove off the road as well . I pretty much called NVC everyday until my case got transferred to the consulate. I was hoping they even had weekend hours .

As soon as USCIS got rid of me NVC and DOS became my new friends .

AWWWWWWW that's so cute Nancy. I'm thinking I would go crazy too! It's sort of like when I got the NOA2 i kept rechecking uscis.gov bc i didn't believe it!!!

But i'm just really nervous about the interview when it gets to the embassy. God some bad news about a friend of mine...and I think it just always goes to AP after the interview when your fiance is a guy. It seems like approvals are easier for women in lebanon. I don't know. Just feeling a little edgy and not so hopeful. I'm tired of each step and I'm really kind of not that excited about having to deal with the embassy.

Anyway ... that's life.
