omg...I feel sooo discouraged right now! my husband is in Honduras, as you all know there was a cou weeks ago...possible civil war! I called the uscis several times in one day for about a week...kept getting different responses on my 130 and k3. One agent told me to write a letter withdrawing my k3 as this would delay my approval of 130. Because of different processing times...I130 is withi n 5 months which, btw my file was with an adjudicator last week and week before . But because i kept calling to find out whether or not to withdraw my 129f for spouse. last week its pending AGAIN???? today I called to see wheer it was, because a few weeks ago it was waiting to be adjudicated. However, according to fridays agent it was not, called today and they said I have called too much, not to call until 30 days. My file is where it needs to be. Now im wondering, is it possible they got irritated and placed it back on shelf?? Guys be careful when calling.... i only called because I got told to withdraw, another said not to! Then i was told we can choose which route to go, then another said no! Can they put it back on shelf???

They can't put it back on the shelf. The people who answer the telephone are no closer to your case than you are when you check your case status online. There is no way they can affect or delay the outcome of your case.

I also doubt that they log calls. Most likely a previous operator put in a service request for you or flagged the file and the operator saw that and knew that you had called recently. Or in your frustration you may have let on that you've been calling frequently.

Do not try and withdraw your I-129f. By time someone opens that letter and deals with it you'll probably have your approval. You can choose which route to go but not until you are out of USCIS. Then you'll just ignore the correspondence for the K-3 and only deal with NVC.

And it's possible that it is still with an adjudicator. The first time I was told that it was on someone's desk was about four weeks before my approval. In between I had many operators who told me some crazy things, including that it was still sitting in the mail room. Don't freak out. The misinformation line is called that for a reason you know!

Oh! Thank God, i always spoke with an officer, they have more authority because they would tell me more specifics, that is when they told me it was assigned. then all of a sudden, another officer told me it was pending and not with an officer, she was gonna send an email asking why not. then today another officer told me. they log calls and I called too much, i was so imberressed! but these people need to realize we have our spouses away and i am given too many different suggestuions on what needs to be done...Especially when im told if i dont withdraw my i129, it would take months longer! thanks for responding... I guess i should stop being obsessive lol!!

Stop calling them. It is, and always was, a waste of time. You will not get a difinitive answer about anything from anyone. Most of the advice will be wrong. Nothing you have been told is correct, it was successful in getting you OFF the telephone at the time, that is ALL. Unless WE (the USA) bomb his country into the stone-age, and he survives, he will not be getting a special consideration for home-grown civil wars. Not "our" problem. Besides, more people are being killed in Jaurez, Mexico in domestic violence because of drug dealers. Wars are small potatoes.

Do not pay any attention to the online updat system, it is usually wrong. My wife has been hear almost a year and our case is still "pending" Please DO NOT tell them this when you call.

DO NOT withdraw anything. Put the phone down and wait.

yea, stop calling and just wait..... it's really a waste of time as the agents doesn't really know what they are talking about... you can start calling after your VJ estimated date...
