Rio Consulate doing customer satisfaction survey!

Today July 20, we just got a call from a "Matthew" from the Consulate in Rio doing a survey on our experience for K-1 visa (back in October 2008). Did you get a call too?

I told him everything was fine there, except for the rudeness of the interviewer

I didn't get the specific call, but back on the days when my AOS was being processed, I got a letter here in the US - addressed to my husband saying that the K-1 visa was going to be cancelled since 4 months had passed and I've never had my interview, blah, blah, blah.

I made my husband call the Consulate back in Rio to ask what was going on, since I was already in the US, married and applying for AOS.

They apologised for the "computer" mistake and told us to disregard the letter.

So much for customer satisfaction.

If this ever happened in Guayaquil (Ecuador), everyone might respond that they wished a return visit (this time, on the consulate's dime) to give everyone there a hard, lasting, rubbing wedgie with spiked-metal toilet paper.
