I posted this on another thread but I figured I'd just do a new one cause I can really use any and all suggestions....

:crying: When is this going to end??? Yes, I realize I'm whining and I'm being a crybaby - but I just don't know how much more of this I can handle!!! Going into this I was told that it would take about 4-6 months... it has now been 6 MONTHS since the freakin interview!!! (total of almost 15 months)

I'm sorry all - I'm just having a very difficult time today - i called DOS yesterday and got a "still pending" and then I emailed the embassy only to get a boilerplate response about the case going through admin processing!!!

:help: I think I'm going to lose my mind... I'm trying soooo hard to be positive and to remember (and I do know) that Allah is in charge and it'll happen when He wills, and that there are others who have been going through the process nightmare longer and/or harder... I just need something - a bone, a ray of light, something!! this is consuming my every minute, every second, I can't sleep a full night b/c of it... and it's getting harder and harder to get up every day and "fake it"... I'm going to less social events, I avoid family and friends cause I know I'm no pleasure to be around... I almost feel bipolar b/c of it since one minute I'm trying my best to be upbeat (and it probably comes out as overexaggerated) and then the next minute I crash and just can't avoid it... I don't know what to do anymore

I can't give you any thing really, other than to tell you to be patient. Some AP is harder than others. Obviously you have a hard one. Be grateful it didn't get sent back to the CIS, that is much worse.

I know how you feel. Some days I don't even want to wake up in the morning. It is so hard to wake up alone day after day. But you must. Its not so much that you need a ray of hope, because it will happen. What you need is a different outlook. Some how you just have to put this out of your mind and look at the brighter side of life. For instance, you have something that so few people have in this world....true love. Look around you. I know so many married couples that are together in a loveless relationship. What have you got? You have a love that is strong enough to endure miles and miles of distance between you. Thats nothing to sneeze at.

Do what you can on checking the status, but after you have done that, put it out of your mind completely. I know, easier said than done, but its the only way....I should know.

Good luck

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

I am only a few months behind you and I am right there with you. I wish I could give you words of encouragement, but I honestly don't know what to say. I know the hurt and the pain you feel. All I can say is that we need to keep trusting that God will bring us through this. So many are nice and give great words of encouragement, but really, if a person does not know what the waiting feels like, they have no idea. Try to say strong. My fiance keeps telling me that we are closer to being together today than we were yesterday. Hugs (F)

That is what we are here for. To be the shoulder for you to cry on. You have every right to "whine and be a crybaby." This process is hard on everybody, doesnt matter the length of time we have been waiting. I know there is not much I can say to make it any easier for you. I just hope and pray you hear something soon.

Awwwwwwww sweetie it's ok... just let it out. You have been going through a hellish wait in limbo... I know it must feel like you're drowning in a bottomless pit, and you've handled it so gracefully and patiently.... always supporting and congratulating others, never complaining about your own considerable hardship and the pain of such a long separation. Anybody else would have lost it long before now.

Go ahead and vent all you want. We're here for you :luv:

Thoughts and prayers with you and your beloved...

The night is always darkest just before the dawn...insha'allah your bright sunny day of victory is coming very soon. :luv: Sending you MEGA MOJO to get the good word you've been waiting for....

Allah ma3ki

Salam sis salam

 Thank you all soooo much - really, I mean that from the bottom of my heart... it's just some days are sooo much harder than others... Fridays are by far the worst days - and not just b/c i'm not as busy but b/c i know noone is working on our case!!! it's hard to keep busy when you are so consumed by this and anything you do is impacted by your mind/heart being somewhere else... anyways... I've had a good cry, and then I had a whole bunch of bad stuff for lunch (chili dog, onion rings and ice cream) and I've calmed down considerably... again, shokran/thank you all for being there - much love and appreciation for you all - sorry for the meltdown... I hope you all have a great weekend insha'Allah

I am sorry that you are going thru this rough patch...the process is grueling as it is in itself, but it seems that you have been given much more to deal with...patience is a great virtue and with all this waiting you must be true master of it...your frustration is well understood and we are here to listen and provide a kind word of support...I pray that God will grant you a prompt resolution and that the pain of separation will ease a bit and that you will find comfort in the arms of your beloved in a short time...stay well and keep us informed...

(((**HUGS**)))
