Hi everyone!

I am from Spain, and me and my American husband recently got married . Now we are in the process of getting all the AOS paperwork together in order to send it ASAP. I would love to meet some spanish/american couples and share experiences, stories, etc... Let's keep in touch!

German, Turkish, Bosnian, Filipino, French, English, Chinese, Italian.......but......what about SPAIN? I know life quality is much better in Spain than in the US....but Come On! Am I the only one crazy here?

hello!

finally i meet someone! i am american, and my husband is Spanish. we live in Madrid and are just starting the process to get him his visa so we can move back to America. so i think our situations are slightly different as it sounds like you are already in America, no? we will be doing DCF.

would love to hear more about how its all going. i am feeling slightly nervous about it as these things always do, but am confident we should be able to get it sorted.

DCF means that you file directly at the embassy, which you can only do if you have been a resident for the last 6 months in the country you file in...so we have been in Madrid together for over 4 years...so no problem there! we file on wednesday...supposedly it is a lot quicker this way because its all done here i believe, but i am still nervous.

where are you from in Spain? where are you living in America? i am from San Francisco, so that is where we will be moving when we get through all this. i can't wait....i have been living abroad for over 10 years (was in London before Madrid) and with a baby now....i just crave being home near my family. fingers crossed it will happen soon!

Hi!! Hola!! Bueno estos casos implican España y USA pero cada situación es diferente!! Yo vivo en Madrid, mi esposo es americano, pero soy de Bolivia, y estamos esperando la aprobación del I-130! No tenemos idea cuanto va a tardar.. y mi pregunta es la sgte... no se si podran responderme pero... si tienen alguna idea la agradeceré eternamente!! Vivo aqui y ya me toca este año sacar la Tarjeta de Residencia por arraigo, pero conoci a mi esposo y ni él ni yo queremos mas hacer ya este tramite pues como su esposa tengo q estar con él.. allá. Me encanta madrid, pero mi esposo esta allá y yo debo estar con él. En la embajada americana aqui me dijeron q no les interesa mi situacion legal en España, pero se q en el futuro me pediran los antecedentes penales de mi país y tambien de aqui por estar viviendo ya mas de 3 años. Sin tener la tarjeta de residencia no la puedo obtener de la policia... como puedo hacer? q puedo hacer?????

I am from Madrid and living in NC now. I would rather live in Madrid but it´s going to take me a while to convince my husband, believe me, haha!

La verdad es que no tengo idea de tu caso asi que siento no poder ayudarte, a ver si alguien que haya pasado por tu situación te lee y te puede ayudar. Sólo una cosa, por qué no te sacas la tarjeta de residencia y asi puedes obterener los penales? Es complicado o tarda mucho? Un saludo.
