As some of you may know we are having our wedding "real wedding" ceremony on our annivesary next year in Jamaica.

The wedding planner has given me these location to choose from, I have never being to any of them to I have no clue. So I need your help.

-Hibiscus Lodge Hotel

-Craneridge Resort

-Coyaba Gardens

If anyone has been to any of these place can you give me some feeback please. PROS vs CONS- of having a wedding there.

~9/17/08 - NOA1 received[/color]

~9/22/08 - I29F approved

~9/26/08 - NOA 2 received

~10-01-08 - NVC processed petition

~10-03-08 - Packet 3 mailed

~10-15-08 - Packet 3 dropped off at embassy

~11-21-08 - Interview!

~11-21-2008- VISA APPROVED!!!

~12-9-08 - arrived-POE JFK

married on ~2-27-09-

~4-21-09 Biometrics appt

~3-31-09 Biometics Done!

~5/1/09 AP Received

~4/27/09 EAD order for production

~7/24/09 = GC approved pending completed vaccination record.

~8/27/09 = provided an updated vaccination record (hubby had to get another shot)

~9/08/09 = GC in Hand (360 days from filing k1)

Hey Kenesha! I can only tell you about Crane Ridge because I have stayed there many times before. As far as having a wedding there, I'm not so sure why she gave you this particular hotel to consider...unless you were planning to do it next door at the Ruins/Falls (I believe that's whay they call it). I heard that's a nice place. The resort itself is pretty basic...comfortable rooms w/ kitchens if neeeded. Pool. But not really a picturesque place to have your wedding if you're looking to "set a mood". The staff there are cool though, it would def be a good place for your guests to stay and it is central to everything in Ochi. They have no problems letting locals on either which is good. I have never stayed at Hibiscus or Crane Ridge. I have heard mixed reviews about both properties. So, I can't provide any pros or cons. I changed my mind about going to Coyaba Gardens because the group I was traveling with didn't want to go. I have been to Shaw Park Gardens...and it was beautiful. I agree that the Ruins is really beautiful...but expensive for weddings from what I have heard.

Best of luck finding the perfect spot...its Jamaica so I know it is out there somewhere. :thumbs:

Jan 28, 2010 ~~ USCIS email that I-485 was transferred to CSC on 1/26/10

Jan 30, 2010 ~~ Received EAD and AP via US Postal Service

Feb 01, 2010 ~~ Received notification of case transfer via USPS

May 07, 2010 ~~ Email notification that card production ordered for 1-485

Jun 01, 2010 ~~ Greencard finally arrives w/approval date 2/23/10 (Huh??)

Done until November 25, 2011!!!

Thanks everyone, my mom is going down tomorrow I'll have her take a look at Hibiscus Lodge and Hotel and Coyaba Garden..

Anthony said he didnt like the entrance to crane ridge it look broke down....

I did tell the wedding planner about Shaw Park she was suppose to get back to me with their rates.. need to send her a reminder.

hey portland.. a couple of those weddings on sungold are at coyoba gardens..

i was just about to say that

and from the pics, the location seems pretty nice for a wedding

i've been to hibiscus lodge, its very pretty there too

I864 delivered November 2nd.....nvc logged it on November 5th

DS230 delivered November 6th.....nvc logged it on November 12th
