Why is the word of these military folks worth any more than anyone else who filed suit over this issue?

What evidence do any of these people have to give weight to their case?

I wouldn't be surprised if all of these cases are based on nothing more than a form letter of complaint on some silly conservative blog site.

That was done some time ago. There will always be idiots out there that just can't accept reality. And until they get slapped with fees and fines for bothering the court system with all this frivolous #######, there will be suits filed. None of this deserves much attention other than the worrisome thought that not only are some of these nutcases bearing arms in our military but the military is apparently able to elevate some of those into higher ranks while they should, in all actuality, wear a straight jacket in their padded cells.

None. Which is why case after case is being dismissed. Until there's serious consequences for filing these frivolous cases in the courts, this lunacy is going to continue. The questioning of Obama's birthplace won't go far but there are real questions about where's he's taking the country and few are listening or understanding given his approval rating. The General needs to actually be productive for once in his life and figure out how to improve the country. After all, the biggest waste of money with the least return is money that goes into the military.

I'm gonna assume you mean the military is wasteful.... as to suggest the "return" of being a secure nation would be TOO STUPID.

Defense is huge in terms of eating up tax dollars, but it would be interesting to see if it is more than the public school boondogle.

Of course Schools are mostly run on state and local dollars.

China spends $70 billion annually on military and they are in the second position. Whereas, we spend $713 billion. Reduce our expenditure to $350 and we still spend 5 times more than China. With much of the $350 billion going towards R&D and equipment, rather than personnel. After all, technology is the key in 2009.

That leaves $353,000,000,000 to invest in America and Americans. Investments that actually deliver quantifiable returns, like jobs and improve living standards. After all, you need engineers and scientist in the first place to design the equipment.

I think having any woman for President is a good idea. I've always thought that the best man for the job is actually someone we don't know because he lacks the star-appeal, personality, and lobby support to get elected. A woman is naturally always going to ask the nearest man what she should do before making any decision, so as long as her top advisor is one of the smartest men, we'll do great!

The problem with the vast majority of people bashing Obama (in public & on VJ) is that these same people were silent or worse yet supportive of the Bush administration, which by almost any objective standard was a terrible administration. I'll listen to someone criticizing Obama if they equally criticized Bush, but if they didn't I will likely chalk their ramblings up to partisan bias & tune them out.

Actually, I thought it was the Major who balked at his Orders.... and the other joined in on the suite.

AS it turned out, as soon as the (legal) questions were raised.. they suddenly dropped the Orders to deploy, then claimed he has no-case.

That in its self seems odd.

An officer refuses orders and rather than seek to make an example of him... they say; awe okay you don't hav'ta go if ya don't want too.
