I have no desire to go to one myself, but I would go with my fiancee/SO. I have not been to one in about 5 years (my ex-GF used to like to go occasionally, since she was equally interested  ), but I noticed that there were a significant number of couples who would be there when we did go. We only went to very classy ones (that served dinner and all), but I think that if the COUPLE goes together, it helps the woman get a better understanding of what really goes on (that could be a lot or a little depending on the club rules). My fiancee has said she has no desire to go (she said she would be jealous), so I am OK with that also. She is waay hotter than any woman I have met in any club and she can dance like a temptress, so I have no reason to want to go.

Are your questions open to the guys as well?

As in -- how do we feel if our SOs want to do a night-out to Chippendales to watch the beefcakes strut their stuff and display their packages?

I don't think my honey is into that, but if she was I don't think I'd mind at all.

And you're quite right that most strip clubs these days involve quite a bit more than just stripping. Most typically involve some form of lap dancing, including (often) some intense grinding activity. Fwiw, Canadian clubs are often much more liberal about their rules for touching etc. than American ones. Depending on jurisdiction (and this is typically decided at a local municipality or county level), clubs may require G-strings or other covering as opposed to full nudity, and may also restrict the contact in private dances (table dances, lap dances, etc.) I know all this from purely academic research studies, of course. :innocent: .

I think your approach seems very reasonable - let him go out and enjoy himself, keep the trust in the relationship strong, keep open lines of communication. Let him know how you truly feel: that you don't want to repress him, but you do have natural internal conflicts about the issue. Chances are he'll appreciate you all the more for the open and frank attitude to the subject.

I miss Canada.

I once asked this a long time ago, but... how do Canadians tip strippers? In the U.S., you generally walk up to the stripper dancing on stage and give her a few bucks. Sometimes she lets you stuff the cash into panties and other times you can just toss it onto the stage.

The problem I see with Canadian cash is that there are $1 and $2 coins. So what do Canadians do? Do you fling loonies at her? Maybe part of her routine is avoiding a barrage of coins? :P

Canadians are not that cheap, they use a $5 bill.

 WORD.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

It wouldn't bother me if it was for an event like a bachelor party, or something else that's very infrequent. Now if it were a weekly thing...

I ended up accidentally smacking his peen. :( I was so mortified and he walked away but a minute later some big italian man came up to me and escorted me out. I DIDN'T WANT TO TOUCH IT! UGH! Those kinds of guys aren't even my types! Cowboy hat wearing oiled up men in speedos with ####### rings on... no thanks. Ugh.

 That's too funny!

Female strippers- I have gone. Some are fantastic on the pole and put on a great show. One time I went with a guy I was dating and one of the girls took a shine to me and came and sat down beside me. She was so f@cked up on something and I just felt sorry for her.

I also feel sad for them. I've only been to a club where females stripped once (didn't want to go then, but didn't want to be the spoilsport in the group) and the look on the dancers' faces was quite blank, as if they mentally distanced themselves from the place. My heart went out to them cause I bet if they felt they had other lucrative options, they'd pursue those.

Ahhh, the good old "Keyrock" AKA The Keystone. Speaking of the loonie tossing..... if the guys wanted to be @sshoes they would heat the loonies with a lighter first and then fling them at the women. I have been there a few times and it seems so sad seeing the strippers scrambling around the stage trying to pluck up their loonies.

I used to live with a stripper. She didn't use the money for booze, drugs, or anything like that...she used it to buy PUPPIES!

Seriously, though. She bought like 4 or 5 puppies, didn't house train them, locked them up in her tiny room to piss and poo all over the floor, and when she got home at night, she'd let them run wild in our apartment. I'd have to watch where I stepped the next morning.
