I used to live with a stripper. She didn't use the money for booze, drugs, or anything like that...she used it to buy PUPPIES!

Seriously, though. She bought like 4 or 5 puppies, didn't house train them, locked them up in her tiny room to piss and poo all over the floor, and when she got home at night, she'd let them run wild in our apartment. I'd have to watch where I stepped the next morning.

so she used puppies to get more puppies.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I don't see the big deal. For my guy, it's eye candy. I do the same.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Wouldn't you rather be his eye candy?

I've been to strip clubs probably about 10-12 times in my life. Of that, 11 of those visits were when I was 18-20. The last time I went to a strip club was for a friends bachelor party when my wife and I were dating. I didn't want to go to be perfectly honest, but Mel told me to go fo support my friend. I think I whined the whole time there. Spent $300 on dances for the groom and spent the night deflecting offers for lap dances. I really don't see the point in it anymore. It was a higher class club, and the girls were very good dancers, but I just don't see the point in getting lap dances. It was fun when I was 18-19, but now i'm an adult, and all I see is a huge waste of money.

I once asked this a long time ago, but... how do Canadians tip strippers? In the U.S., you generally walk up to the stripper dancing on stage and give her a few bucks. Sometimes she lets you stuff the cash into panties and other times you can just toss it onto the stage.

The problem I see with Canadian cash is that there are $1 and $2 coins. So what do Canadians do? Do you fling loonies at her? Maybe part of her routine is avoiding a barrage of coins? :P

I went to a strip club in MB once and the guys would fling loonies and toonies in her crotch, she would grab them with her....well you know what..... She would go up to each guy and spread em....

I kinda feel the same. I mean, if you and your wife wanna go together cause you are into that, that's cool. Or, if it's for a bachelor party and you don't wanna be the odd man out, that's cool too.

But dropping hundreds on your own for getting another woman's crotch/chest pushed into your face kinda seems...like maybe you shouldn't have gotten married? I don't know.

I went to a strip club for a guy-friend's birthday. Since I wasn't too interested in the strippers me and some friends played pool most of the night. At one point, some guy tried to pick me up. Creepiest. Thing. Ever.

This is kind of funny now that this came up.

Anyways my husband's 30th birthday is coming up in October and I have been starting the planning on a surprise party for him and a night out with dinner and drinks and stuff. It's kind of funny because his best friend called me up today and said: "Has Mike ever been to a strip club?"

I told him the story about the one time I took him and how he walked in and sat and watched for about 5 minutes and then lost interest in the girls up on stage and started playing with the coasters on the table... he was the only guy in the place not facing the stage but instead talking to me about whatever it was he was talking about - I was busy watching the girls.

So anyways his friend really wants to get him a lap dance for his 30th birthday, and to be quite honest I don't mind at all. In fact I totally encouraged it and thought it was hilarious and we decided we would try to make it happen. I know it will be a challenge because thats just not Mike's style. But tequila can do wonders. :P

So yea... I guess this thread came to my mind a little after the conversation. It really doesn't bother me at all.

I know those women don't have my personality. They certainly can't cook like I can. And they can't take my possibly take the spot that I have in his life.

If my husband did it all the time, then yea I'd be like: "Dude #######" but he doesn't. I wouldn't be with someone who did that all the time.

I don't know. I guess I'll tell you after it happens if it happens.

To be quite honest I don't see him being interested at all. In fact it will probably be very awkward for the dancer if it happens at all, because he will probably cringe the entire time. He's just not into that sort of thing and maybe that's why I am so comfortable with him going.

If he were going out for dinner with Scarlett Johansson maybe I'd be a little worried.
