Good God this country if full of crazy nuts.

No just pissed off patriots.

But the patriots are the ones who support the president, remember?

Nope, the patriots are the ones who support the constitution and the principles of the Founding Fathers.

The first revolution was brought on by excessive taxes and and oppressive government. The second one will be for the same reasons.

The taxation was from a King 4000 miles away and there were NO representatives of the colonies.

I would hardly call the Republican contingent 'unrepresented' on the Hill. They are just pi$$ed off because they aren't in power at the moment.

Get real, Gary.

"We", as in the conservatives, are not being represented. First our leaders sold us out and then, through their incompetence, gave up our voice by losing so badly in the last two elections. I don't blame Obama or the democratic politicians, they are doing what their political base is telling them to do. The revolution isn't going to be one of battles and bloodshed, it will happen at the ballot box when the backlash of all this reckless spending and bail-outs sets in. I didn't vote for any republican incumbent last year and I will not next year. I will vote for a conservative of any party that is challenging an established republican.

Define 'conservative'.

Why the loaded question? You know as well as I do what a conservative is. I will give you a hint, there are very few on Capital Hill right now. But for now I will not bite.

ETA..

And remember when you do so that our Constitution was built to keep principles that are founded in a religion OUT of government.

Ah.. I see. When did this get turned around to religion? And what religious "principles" are you talking about? Please specify.

You won't bite because you know as well as I do that Conservativism flies just as much in the face of the Constitution as Marxism.

Any ideology that tries to tell people what to do based upon moral principles is NOT what our Founding Fathers had in mind.

Again, what moral principles are you talking about? Abortion, gay marriage? What exactly do you mean?

The word "conservative" in my mind doesn't relate at all to individuals who believe in the fundamental structure of the Constitution. They are a fringe movement who vote on single issues like abortion and gay marriage. They vote with their Bible instead of their head.

I don't know very many wealthy individuals (who are driving the bus in this economy) who would call themselves 'conservative'. I would say that many in the top tier of our economy are able to persuade conservatives that trickle-down economics and other policies are the way to go - after all they have the dollars to buy the networks that feed into the heads of people who think in black and white.

Don't confuse conservative thinking with independent thinking, because it's woefully apparent there is no independent thinking involved. Conservatives have crowned Limbaugh and Hannity their torch carriers. If you don't drink from their traughs, you are not a true conservative. That's far from using your own brain to think with. And it's far far away from Constitutional fundamentals. If you want to stick to the Constitution, you need to be a Libertarian. Somehow, their idealogy and that of conservatives don't mix. But that's what happens when Conservatives let cows like Limbaugh lead them around by their noses.

Wow!! That is a pretty cynical view!!! Is there a stereotype you missed in there? Your confusing extremists with the mainstream. Your problem here is "enemy identification" Your focusing in on the loudest voice while missing the majority. Tell you what, find me any picture, story or speech taken at a tea party that mentions abortion or gay marriage. You will find little if any. A republican is not the same as a conservative. There is your revolution, the conservatives will oust the republicans and then take over Washington. When they do the focus isn't going to be on your "moral" ethics. You seem very blinded by your abject hatred of anything even associated with conservatism and it seems to be rooted in a strong bias and fueled by your own ideology. In short, you are just as extreme as the people you hate.

Shooting isn't what I had in mind, running out on a rail is. I have less respect for the republican leaders than I do for yours.

BTW, judging conservatives by what Limbaugh, Hannity and Coulter says is like judging liberals by what Carvile, Soros and Pelosi says.

I hate a movement that tries to tie 'christian values' to a 'strong economy'. And that is what conservatives do.

I also hate a movement that tries to convince me that the economic principles of the last 30 years have been good for the majority of the US population when the evidence is abundant that it has not been. When you can show me empirical evidence that the common man (85% of us including you) has more buying power with his dollar than he did before trickle down economics, then I might buy into your Tea Party nonsense.

You are being led around by the nose by the same CEO's and political geniuses who have been stealing you blind for the whole of your working life. When you were a little boy, your parents didn't have to pay for your health care out of their wages because it was affordable for your dad's employer to offer him that benefit in exchange for a good days labor. Your dad didn't have to worry about his job being outsourced overseas because his employer would rather pocket profits and take stock options instead of investing in job creation.

Don't confuse 'conservatism' with blindness. Because that's where you are at.

I'm sorry if this is so harsh. But yes it's the way I feel. I was paying attention the entire time I've been an adult. I'm tired of so many my age who have not.

And assuming anyone who thinks things will turn out all right in the end, that Obama is ok, is a loony liberal without the possibility of reason let alone salvation is what exactly?

I lived through Bush, had some issues, surely we can all see there were some serious errors on his part. We will all live through Obama too if this insane constant blather about losing your liberty, your freedom, becoming a socialist dictatorship garbage would die down. Unless that happens, I for one am starting to believe certain loudmouths ought to be charged with treason, and preferably hung on a gibbet in a very public ceremony.

Please, show me where the tea parties mention Christian Values and tie it with a strong economy.

Your example of how are parents lived compared to ours? Ok, when you were a kid did you have a lifestyle like you do now? Two cars, a TV in every room and the ability to go to a store any get just about anything you want? When I was a kid all we had were the basics and were happy with it. The consumers themselves made things the way they are. Conservatives didn't do it. We demand the lowest price so we can get more "stuff" and to meet that demand business started outsourcing and moving factories. The only "blindness" here is your own.

Gary, i agree with you. i hope to see rebeccajo statements at the end of this tax year . when instead of paying a 90 electric bill shes paying 150. but then again it wont be a big problem once they get the 'smart grid ' then obama will just control the tempature in your house from washington.

Never in my life before had i considered moving to a different country. but after going to ph several times, i really like there style. leave there people alone, the people dont expect anything and most dont want anything.

if obama gets relected i will for sure consider moving to ph.

Gotta go with Rebeccajo for the most part on this argument.
