confused of U.S packet

There is just so much confusion. Everyone is talking about a packet, but I don’t have that! I have not receive anything from the embassy yet but an email MNL2009xxxxxx (APPOINTMENT CVR LETTER) . What is all this talk about a packet. Some say you have to bring the original packet and a copy of it to give the guard at St Luke's, but again I can’t find any information about this packet! Could someone please tell me what this is?

Immigration sends no more packages so dont worry and the letter will work in the st luke.
