i dont know the reason why the pick some petitions for additional processing but u will prolly be one of the lucky ones and get out of it in a month or two seems that most things can be cleared up pretty easy

as for the length of time i have no idea how long.

Hi Sara,

Why is it taking them so long to process your case? I really feel for you, and worried if I get stuck that long as well. You should have been approved a year ago. I don't know how you can handle all this waiting. I would probably be in the mad house by now.

Could be a bit premature on the having to wait thing (hopefully)... it's only been there 4 days now. Ours was there 2 weeks or so... Were you able to get your NVC case number? if so, you could possibly get working on the medical..

Your following my footsteps.. (we were both in January filers at one time complaining about not getting our NOA2's, lol).. NVC rcvd my case 6-9-09, stuck in AP, sent to embassy 6-24-09, so was not long as what I thought it would be... You will be out soon and on your way...

well i didnt want to say that cuz if i was wrong and he had to wait longer so thought it was better to give him the longer version with hope of faster

Don't believe there was any AP - just took that long - not uncommon though.
