Joyce are you talking about those things that are like baby wipes?

Yes, but flushable. You can also tear them if your wiping needs are minimal and you want to conserve.

Do those work well when you travel? I thought about it, but the flush situation...

 @ the cow picture.

I have always wondered about cows- they are really cute (and tasty) but they aren't very bright animals. Can they survive on their own in nature? I know- that may seem like a dumb question but I have always wondered. I have never heard of wild cows. What did cows do before people came around?

Whoa Nelly! That was some more thread - I wonder what she would think of somebody like me wanting to emigrate to Canada and leave the good ol' US of A? I s'pose that makes me...um...unpatriotic to want dual status?

I swear...the things people get their panties in a wad about around here... tsk tsk tsk.

Hey Stacey! A lot of animals aren't the brightest, but function very well on instinct. Cows (as in domesticated ones) have been really bred for thousands of years and had a lot of instincts lessened in them over time. Still, you don't want to mess with a bull.... Cattle do run quite fast though (even now-- stampedes!), do herd (which is an instict which also functions for protection), and will startle, etc. Before people came around they just did their thing, but were not as robust/meaty/hefty. We've been working on their size. There are several species of domestic cattle or cattle that have been domesticated, but for wild analogies think buffalo, water buffalo, orachs, etc. That would be similar to wild Bos taurus behavior.

/the first use of my 30-page zooarchaeological paper on the domestication of cattle, ever.
