The only PEO that gives employment authorization is the JFK airport.

No EAD's at the airport for K1 visa holders as of March 2009.

JFK issued a temp EAD stamp on April 27, 2009 that was good for 90 days. husband has 2 jobs and is not on my freakin' couch.

Did he come in on a K1 or K3? I researched this question extensively and supposedly as of March 1 2009, K1 visa, with or without the stamp, is no longer valid for EAD.

he entered on a K1. i saw this same conversation many times here prior to his POE, as i shared this same concern. it may be a new law; however, my husband didn't request a stamp and they put it on his I-94 anyway. most places where he applied would not accept the stamp. luckily, one place did and we now have 2 incomes. hallelujah!

Even if she/he is and his SO other is a guy is there really anything wrong with that, provided they send no pictures, plus if dina was a fat rich bald guy that would explain why his husband is hiding under the couch.

Well, my wife arrived in the USA on April 8th and just received work authorization on July 17th. We were married on the 16th of April and didn't apply for AOS for about 2.5 weeks after the wedding because we were on our honeymoon. All the same, it has been less than 4 months. If we had applied right after the wedding, it seems it would have even been sooner. Of course, she doesn't have a job right now.
