Where are you flying to..your ultimate destination? If your going to the west coast there are lots of cheap tickets to be found. A friend of mine just picked one up for 700 dollars to San Fran.

if u want a specific airline, browse on Eva air- really cheap tickets. i have already ran a thread about this... and most have positive vibes on the airline.

I agree...

Where is your destination? It will take awhile before I'll be able to leave the country since we just started my visa processing but as early as now, I've been trying to check the airfares in different airlines. Based on my observation, Eva Air is offering the cheapest rate. Upon checking, Eva Air offers as low as $407 including taxes, etc. from Manila to SFO/LAX, one way. If the budget is a big deal, you might want to check it out.

I'm a cheapo. Hehehe...Even though my fiance told me that he doesn't mind spending more for my flight to US just to make sure I'll be comfortable, I have convinced him that when the right time comes and assuming that the rate is still the same, I will just purchase an e-ticket via Eva Air from Manila to SFO/LAX then just purchase another ticket from SFO/LAX going to TN. Based on my computation, doing that will save my fiance at least $400 especially if the trip is immediate. Sayang din...
