Withdrawing I130 Petition from CSC and changing to DCF

After seeing the updated processing times and reading the horrow stories of the wonderfully organized and productive USCIS, I'm seriously considering

withdrawing my petition from CSC and going DCF in El Salvador. I didn't do DCF in the beginning because I couldn't prove residency. Now I can. I know

I will lose my original $355.00 and will have to pay it again but its worth it to me. I have never seen anything like USCIS. I called today and spoke with an officer and she told me to call back in a week. They are ridiculous. The worst part about it is that your at there mercy. There is almost nothing that anybody can do about it. If i'm reading correctly, the DCF is 3-5 months, START TO FINISH. I've read about I130 petitions being adjudicated within days.

Any advice? Warnings? Prayers?

I wouldn't put too much weight behind the USCIS processing times. They are inaccurate at best.

Good luck.

I was planning on switching to DCF earlier myself, but it would mean starting over.......and I really don't want to wait any longer than necessary. Plus I haven't had any issues with USCIS at all...actually I believe I received my noa1 and noa2 fairly quickly. Since that was the last I heard of USCIS in our case.....I'm pretty satisfied. Other than that....the only thing that worries me about the traditional way is that Pakistani males almost always go under AP(administrative processing) which can (god forbid) last up to 6 months or more. I used to think that going DCF might save me from the AP....but was obviously wrong. In fact most DCF filers in Pakistan end up getting that AP more often than the traditional way...plus my husband doesn't have any red flags that are normally the cause of such long AP's....I'm praying that we don't get AP at all....but if still we do, that it only lasts a few weeks at most.

Actually, I think you shouldn't go DCF now....it'll probably end up taking you longer than if you just stuck with what you have now, because it's been 3 months already....I'm pretty sure you're nearing the end of USCIS anyways......just wait it out because once your NVC journey starts you should be flying through if your well prepared and have read the guides and the wiki's.
