Hi all,

Just a quickie; due to family medical based reasons I may need to leave the USA to return to Australia in the coming months. I would like to know the wait time for getting a permit to leave the contry and whether this process can be speed up at all.

thanks

Make an infopass appointment and bring along supporting evidence of a a medical emergency, etc., such as a letter from a doctor. You should be able to get the advanced parole the same day.

Since (it appears) you haven't filed an I-131/AP along with your AOS/EAD documents - you can simply make an infopass - bring the completed I-131 with you, along with your NOA1 for the I-485 and any supporting evidence of the emergency (as stated above, medical documentation/note(s) from doctors etc) and you could very well get the AP approved on the spot.
