IR-2 What kind of documents to submit to USCIS?

Hello All

We will soon file the IR-2 visa for my son but what more documents do we need to submit rather than below:

- I-130 Form

- Copy of the full Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen

- G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the US Citizen signed and dated

- One passport-type photo of the petitioner.

- G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the non-US Citzen alien signed and dated (Can I sign for my son since he is only 7 yrs old?)

- One passport-type photo of the non-US Citzen alien.

- any other kind of Evidence? Such as my marriage certificate to my husband (USC)? My visa application that has been approved? or what else?

Is your Husband the one filing the I-130? If so yes you need to include a copy of your marriage certificate, You do not need the G325A

When you get to the interview if your USC spouse in the onew applying just remember they will also nbeed proof of the bona fides in the marriage. Congratulations on bringing your child good luck....

Not sure on the photos as I do not recall sending any they had to bring them to the interview. My step kids went CR2 but should be the same, however this was almost 2 years ago.

No not for this application for your son. no G325A needed from either. Did your husband fill one out when he applied for your IR1? I know back in 5/2007 we did not have to do the form.

When he filed for my IR-1 visa, we needed to submit G325A from both of us. But I don't know about IR-2.

Ok when I did the I-130's for the boys we did not fill out the G325A for them. Just the I-130 Had to pull out the file

Anybody think of reading the instructions for the I-130?

8. Stepparent/Stepchild: If your petition is based on a stepparent-stepchild relationship, you must file your petition with a copy of the marriage certificate of the stepparent to the child's natural parent showing that the marriage occurred before the child's 18th birthday, copies of documents showing that any prior marriages were legally terminated and a copy of the stepchild's birth certificate.

No mention of any G325a there at all. It isn't needed. Neither is any passport picture.
