My husband got his EAD today. :)

10/10/06 - We meet in an online forum.

4/23/07 - We are officially a couple. <3

7/17/07 - First meeting in person - Rochester NY (several visits back and forth follow).

12/15/08 - Our daughter, Annika, is born.

4/1/09 - Christian comes to visit on the VWP (5th visit to US, POE is Newark, no hassles).

5/26/09 - We get married! Small wedding, planned in a month, but very nice. :)

Adjustment of Status

7/3/09 -- Mailed I-485,I-130,I-765,I-131, Medical - certified mail

7/6/09 -- Delivery confirmation on USPS website

7/14/09 -- Receipts arrive.

7/16/09 -- Can pull up case with receipt numbers on USCIS website.

7/25/09 -- RFE. Our joint sponsor did not provide proof of citizenship or enough proof of his income.

8/17/09 -- Received AP document.

8/19/09 -- Biometrics appointment.

8/28/09 -- Received EAD card.

9/29/09 -- Interview - APPROVED!!!

10/3/09 -- Welcome letter.

10/9/09 -- Green card in hand!

My husband got his EAD today. :)

Yay! I'm betting although our AP and EAD are on they way they won't get here before we head down to Los Angeles for our interview Tuesday morning.

YEAH. Got two emails from CRIS.

My EAD and AP were approval on the same day of 8/29/2009. EAD card production was ordered.

Now wait for interview notice.

We got our AP today (two of them for some reason) but our EAD has not come yet. Card production was ordered but we just have not gotten it yet and we have our interview tomorrow. I hope they aren't going to want us to turn it over or something.

I think we are aready for our interview tomorrow, I hope we get a nice IO. We have lots of documents. Our interview is for 11:15 tomorrow in LA so we have to leave our area around 7am. Fingers are crossed....

Well..... we were approved! Had our interview yesterday morning and he approved us. Should have green card in 3 weeks. I'm going to post details of our interview in a separate post. I also posted it in the reviews section. I'm so excited this part is over!

I have not received any news on my AP & EAD....but

guess what~??

I received INTERVIEW LETTER today :star:

My interview date is 10/12.

It is perfect timing, since I am going to visit my family in Japan from 10/14~.

I am sure more good news are coming to July filers.. :star:

Congrats Tako! We also did not have news on AP or EAD until the week before our interview and the EAD did not show up in the mail before our interview. Make sure you tell the IO that you are traveling right after your interview because they told us that Ryan could not travel until his green card came (they took his AP and his I94).

Grats to everyone! This is good ju ju for the rest of us!

We met with our lawyer yesterday to have our "pre interview preparation" ... just a sad excuse to justify the outrageous amount they charged us! :) But, he thinks all will be well and can't see why they won't approve us on the spot! *knock on wood*.

Now I'm just preparing all the documents and things to bring with us... the lawyer actually annoyed me cause he kept asking questions like "do you guys have any joint property together, cars etc" ... I'm like...dude he just got a social 2 weeks ago... you think we went spend crazy in 2 weeks??? Same thing with utilities... I'm like, helloooooo you can't add someone to utilities without social and even then most of them don't want 2 people on the bill.

So, we've actually got a joint lease (the leasing company actually added him on my lease without a social when we moved in, so that was good!), joint bank account and joint health insurance. I hope that's enough. I am going to try and get him on my beneficiary stuff now but my HR department in my company is just rediculous. I work for a small consulting firm and they are so confused about making major changes to things...

Lawyer also wants him to get a drivers license before 9/15... hehe... hubby drove in his home country but he's not the best at studying! So, having him look at the Virginia drivers manual now. :)

I can't wait for this to be over!!! :)
