I can't find the answer through search.

I am trying to get my tax returns for my fiance's interview in Tirana, Albania. However a certified tax return costs $57 for one year so I don't want to get more than necessary.

How many years' tax returns do I need please? Does anyone know? Thanks :)

Usually just the plain old free tax transcripts are fine. You can also get these from the IRS.

Do you have something which specifically asks for certified tax returns?

3 years is a nice safe number. 2008 is required.

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

I think they want the certified from the IRS. You can call the IRS and they will send them to you......That is the only certified I know. And I think it would be for the last 3 years.....so 2009,2008 & 2007. There is no charge from t he IRS

We just provided copies of our returns and they were fine in Albania with that. I stressed over it too as the certified copies took too long to get here, but they never said anything.
