OMG, a commie bird!!! Where did you get that pic?

Downtown Ulm, Germany. Sparrows are their city bird. There's giant sparrow sculptures all over the place, decorated in different ways, often by the merchants. Like the lions in Munich, the Bears in Berlin, the pigs in Seattle....

I don't recall why this was a Che bird. All the other ones are pretty tame.

Here's a Seattle Times article from 2001 about it. They were all over the city, in fact there's still one at Pike Place. Surely you've seen it? They were auctioned off to raise money but there's still a few around.
