Question regarding biometrics for Removing Conditions

This isn't the first form or letter sent out by USCIS that is extremely poorly written. It seems like the letters are just thrown together and no one bothers to proof them to see if they make sense. Some of the forms are written in much the same way. I suspect that a lot of the confusion some of us have felt at some point along this journey would have been prevented if the written information had been clear, concise and accurate - in other words, well-written.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I think the "NOTE: Conditional resident applicants... WILL NOT RECEIVE an ASC appointment notice. To complete biometric processing, these applicants must submit the required items on the I-751 form instructions." means that you need to submit your I-751 petition in order to receive the appointment. If you did not, you will not receive any appointment notice.

I read that some people did walk-in for the biometrics and had any problem. If you live near the place, go ahead and try. It never hurts to try! But if it is a long commute, I would just wait for the appointment letter.

I just did a walk-in this morning. Showed up at 8am at opening and was done in 25 minutes. My original date was scheduled for 07/24/09. Only they lady who actually did the biometrics made comment for me being early and then went ahead and did the screening. No problems at all.

Yes but you had the letter, I think we were leaning towrads going wothout, however from what I have read early Biometrics still need the letter to match upo your case :)

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Friends,

Below is my interpretation

The word APPLICANT is important here.If you have already received a conditional green card then you are NOT a conditional resident APPLICANT. You are a CONDITIONAL RESIDENT. Hence, if you are applying to remove conditions by using form I751 you should get a ASC apointment letter.

Regards,

Maan
