My Husband had interview and got pink slip , does any one knows pink slip is good or bad . they did not ask any other info and said every thing is ok and kept the passport and said they will mail them arround six week

I am confused by your post. Did they give him any other paper?

Some CO at ISL keep the passport even when in AP others don't. So that doesn't tell anything.

We were in AP for over a yera and were also given a pink token @ the interview

They told us six weeks as well.

I recommend you call DOS by Friday or next week and inquire about your case status and where your case is? They will tell you if it's pending AP or not!

Good lucks.

CO gave me a list of amex courier service,on it he stapled a purple sticker which has a serial number,he said i would need it when i go pick up the passport.Besides,he gave me a green letter which has instructions how to send them the passports when requested. In my case letter's instructions are useless cuz they kept my passport.CO told me your case needs admin review,i asked why ..he said well its very common here in isb and people get their visas within 90 days.

hope the time passes soon. congrats
om

Thank you so much....L179 u have the interview tomorrow rite? Well Good Luck.

Omer,

Sounds like you are in AP for security checks !

I must advice you to be patient. They told my fiance 6 weeks on paper and we had to wait SIXTEEN months in AP. Good news is the recent trend shows that ISL has been clearing APs w/in a reasonable time

good lucks,

16 months is such a long period of tyme. What was the reason for your AP? did they tell u? ......... didnt they already run the background check on me.

Pink slip means VISA APPROVED and congrats.

visa approval has nothing to do w/AP .. our visa was approved but further processing was required.

As for 16mons.. that was the worst part.. .no one ever told us WHY and WHAT is being processed, all we were told is PENDING ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. All paperwork was submitted timely and compelete. No documents requested, interview itself was few mins long, not much asked except his name and asked to locate me in pics.

at the end CO said you are all fine and told him further processing is needed it will take 6 weeks!

6 weeks passed, 6 mons passed (avg security clearance) 10mons passed (ISL avg security clearance) a year passed... v were lost, depressed.....

Then i contacted my congressman office, 2nd time they contacted ISL they demanded some action and three days after visa was issued. I don't know if it was congressmanial inquiry or just concidental that security checks were compeleted.

I think wat tiggered a lenghty AP in our case was a v common name, nationality (PAKISTAN), profession maybe? I dunno! i have been following this whole AP thing.. and guys good news is ISL has been processing APs at a much faster phase and clearing backlogs.

now when i tihnk back i dun remember the tourture... you all will fogret once united=) It is not easy to be so far away and wait for an unknown unpredicatble time at no fault of yours=) but as they say there is a time for everything

Good lucks n prayers,

well...

I think it totally depends on how fast the other departments respond to the queries. So every case differs...

Secondly recently a new law has past to clear the backlogs and speed up the process so things are moving much faster.

I do hope for the best for us all....
