My fiance (now wife) is from the Philippines and is here on a K-1 Visa. She had her medical done in her counrt but the doctor told her to finish over here. Does she have to get the rest of her shots before filing for AOS? We live in Austin TX. Where can we schedule her appointment for these shots? Does it ave to be at a specific place? Thank you.

Her form has

Td or T dap circled (with US as a footnote) Insufficient time is marked

MMR is circled (with X as a footnote)

Human papillomavirus is circled (with 2 as a footnote)

Does this mean she has to go to a doctor here too?

Does she go to a civil surgeon for these shots or do they only change the form to I-693A?

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

hi,

my friend had the same thing. Yes, she needs to finish the medical (shots) as part of submitting the AOS. You can't mail the AOS package until the medical is 100% done. The civil surgen in your area will complete the unfinished exam of the surgen in Phillipines. You need to schedule an appointment and the doctor knows what to do. He will give her shots (the ones that circled) - she requires by age and after few days will give you a sealed envelope with the exam results inside. The sealed envelope will need to be sent to USCIS along with the AOS (I-485) application. All you need for medical exam is this sealed envelope (that you can NOT open). Just call to schedule an appt and they will guide you thru everything. Its a realy easy process.

GOOD LUCK
