Secondary interview at oath ceremony?

Under "What should you expect from the naturalization process?" in the N-400 Guide, there is a very curious statement under the section titled "Taking the Oath". It says "....Answer questions about what you have done since your interview". Huh? I'm not the slightest bit worried but what the heck are they talking about? I haven't heard anybody else mentionning a secondary interiew (chit chat) at the actual oath ceremony.

When you line up to sign in for the actual oath ceremony, you speak with an Officer and they ask you a few questions, before taking your Green Card away from you. They also give you a program booklet and a little U.S. flag.

No biggie, so don't worry about it.

In many offices they work different, they do the Oath ceremony the same day after the interview, luckily mine was like that, same day got rid of everything, only that they didn't give me a flag

i am pretty sure that this relates to the form you get that advises when and where to appear for the Oath.

there is a second page on this form where you have to answer a few questions right before the Oath (if your Oath is not the same day).

the questions are related to any change of you status in the period from the interview to the Oath. it asks if you have moved, divorced, separated, got arrested...

answering yes to any of these questions will probably lead to a second interview.

when i was done with my interview i was given the form noting where and when to appear for the interview and the woman told me there are a few questions on the back and you have to fill the out the day before the interview and sign your name.

It commonly happens if you've travelled internationally between the time you took the test and the time you take the oath. That would mean you'd have to answer "yes" to one of those questions (the one that asks if you've travelled internationally, duh), and someone will verify that your days out of the country still lets you meet the eligibility requirements for naturalization. It's normally nothing to get concerned about. If, for example, you were convicted of a serious crime between the interview and oath, it could become something more involved.
