My papers at NVC now...What that mean?

and i will call the embassy tomorrow while im damn sure they will say the same

anyway i will call and tell you what happened

and i want to ask another question

what do you think the problem can be? something belong to me or my wife? or sometimes some ppl r unlucky to have they'r visa fast?

can you give me some examples of whats wrong can be ?

You can't call tomorrow because it's a holiday and the Embassy will be closed. You will have to wait until Sunday.

What could have gone wrong? The only thing that's gone wrong is you didn't recieve packet 3, which you should have received a few weeks after your wife submitted the I-130 and had her interview.

Maybe the Embassy made a mistake and didn't send it.

Maybe the Embassy did send it and DHL lost it.

Maybe DHL didn't lose it and delivered it to the wrong address (you had a move in there somewhere, right?)

Maybe DHL delivered it and dropped it on the doorstep and a neighbor, or someone off of the street picked it up.

It doesn't matter what happened at this point. What matters is that you call the Embassy and figure out how to fix whatever went wrong.

SUNDAY. Call the Embassy SUNDAY. Stay on the phone until you get an answer and the only answer you will accept is they are sending your packet 3 to you, at an address you know you will receive it, and they give you a DHL tracking number so you can follow the packet's delivery online.

This is unless, of course, they sent it already. If that's the case, ask for the DHL tracking number (use those exact words) and figure out what DHL did (or didn't do) with it. It's entirely possible it was sent back to the Embassy ten months ago and they're wondering why nobody's called to ask where it is (it's not their job to call you). Who knows?

The bottom line is you want packet 3 in your hands and you want it NOW.

I have questions is right...Stop worrying whos fault it is and find the packet...They have nothing to process with out that packet....Call the Embassy and tell them you need that packet and where did it go to! There is nothing your wife can do..

well i wish thats only the reasons for not sending my package till now

i have to wait till sunday and then i will call

and i allready sent them an email explainin that my papers cant be AP cause i didnt recieved the package yet

and the NVC replied me with ( The case number provided is not an NVC case number and appears to have

been assigned by the US Embassy/Consulate General. Please contact the

embassy/consulate directly regarding this case.)

and i donno how while everytime we call the NVC they find our case number and every information

and about the package i didnt change my address or went to any place since i made the petition

and all my neighbours know me well and if anything happened they should of tell me

anyway i will give em a call and tell u guys what happened

and i really wish and hope that would be one of (ihavequestions) reasons not something else about me or my wife

The NVC clearly doesn't know anything about it because you don't have packet 3, you haven't applied for a visa, and you're filing DCF.

great thread (really like ihavequestions replies).. i feel bad for OP, it doesnt seem fair at all.. i just keep waiting for him to repost and say that he finally called the embassy as that is clearly the right thing to do.. i would even try to schedule and appointment if possible. i guess in a country like egypt where a large number of people are clamoring to get to america, it just loads up the immigration offices and things get lost... so sad.. good luck

Do you seriously think calling an Embassy - any Embassy - and telling them this is how it's going to be is going to get you anywhere? Surely you're joking.

You can go ahead and send in all of your husband's paperwork (and, FYI, since you've only submitted the I-130, he hasn't been approved for anythiing), but what are you going to do if it gets lost? Not only is that a risk, but it's also time consuming to replace all of the documents.

Today's the 26th. They told you the packet would come soon on the 14th. Between the 14th and 26th there have been two weekends and one holiday, so today is the 6th working day since the 14th. Give those people a little bit of time. If you still haven't heard anything in another week, call them again and inquire about it.

Language barrier? How? There are people at the Embassy who speak Arabic and he could have easily picked up the phone at any point during the last 10 months and asked what the problem is. Instead, he comes here for advice, gets it, repeatedly ignores it, and does whatever he wants to do anyway, even though it's clearly not working.

I used to feel sorry for him but I've moved on.

and i know what ur talkin about and i did call the embassy on 2100 and i didnt find anything talk about (if u want to get information about ur petition or case) or even an option to follow ur case under immigration petition

in the end i followed like i will do an appointement and the lady told me no one can tell u such informations and in the same time every case have its situation and if they replied u with AP that mean that ur papers under AP and no one can speeed it .

so i think there is another number or something i need to dial to make me contact someone inside the embassy not just vodafone appointement center....any help on what to dial?

and im in my way to try the american citizen phone line since my wife is here with me

and if not i dont think there is any other solution be to go directly to the embassy from the citizenship door

and the congressman didnt answer us yet
