I am a U.S. citizen. My fiance came to the U.S. on a k-1 visa on march 02 of 2006. We were married on april 22nd 2006. We wanted to apply for his change of status, but I then realized that I never recieved a notice of approval ,the noa2. I attempted to obtain a copy by sending in a I824 to the california service center but the processing time is about 6 months. What should we do? Hes been here since march and its now july and he dosn't have a EAD or social security card, or drivers licence. He got a EAD but it expired may 31st.Apparently I sent in the application with an a6 status instead of a c9.We are both getting really fustrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Moms :(
