Expected timeline for I-130. Is K3 still a good option ?

I received NOA1 on May 7, 2009 (not received NOA2) but I haven't applied for K3 yet. Should I apply for it now as I-130 processing at CSC is taking a bit longer time ?. It has definitely slowed down in last 2-3 months. If I just stick to I-130 option, realistically how much time frame I should expect for my wife to actually get to the interview stage ?. Which month I should expect her to see here. Any idea??
