Is it possible to schedule a non-immigrant visa interview at the US Embassy in Manila for a specific date or do you just have to take whatever date they give you? I'd like to arrange for my mother-in-law to have an interview while my wife and I are in Manila visiting and I'm wondering if it's possible to do?

It depends really on the load of the embassy people. Normally they would allow you an approximate date.
