It's been 35 days since my biometrics appointment and been 2 weeks now since I got the yellow letter. So I took a chance today for scheduled Infopass appointment at Atlanta Office. The Officer said, that they mail my interview letter today at post.. so hopefully I could get it end of this week or Monday :whistle:

That's good news! So you have never got a online status change?

NO, never change... online status was still at Request for Evidence.

The Officer printed out something into her computer, and she let me the date she circled shows what date they request for interview and out for post.. "BUT" no date of interview specified yet. She said I will know it, when I get the mail. Because it's not in the system what date is my interview is.

Best of luck to us! for speedy interview schedule notices. :thumbs:

Hey Everyone

Recieved a email update from USCIS stating that my case has been sent to my local office for interview. I had my Bio on 10/21 and my local office is the Atlanta DO. My case status online has also changed to testing and interview. Do you guys know when I will receive my IL letter,now that my online status has been updated? Thanks for your input guys.

Here is my frustration. I quickly and successfully passed the interview 2 weeks ago (on October 15th). The problem is that my interview was 9 days too early to take the Oath even though my local office generally performs same day Oaths. I was trying to ask the IO to give me an Oath letter on the spot but she was reluctant and said that it will come in mail. However, she indicated that I should get the letter on or right after my eligibility date (October 24th) and the Oath should be in couple of weeks.

So it's been 2 weeks and my mailbox is still empty. I lost patience and scheduled an infopass appointment today. Unfortunately, before you can get to an actual IO at the infopass, you first have to fight your way through the receptioninst who knows as much (if not less) than the disinformation line and whoes main job is to turn as many people away as possible without letting them talk to the actual IO.

This receptionist just kept parroting the same phrase over and over again "sir, you have to allow 120 days from your interview until the Oath ceremony. If 120 days pass and you still don't recieve anything you can schedule another Infopass". No calls for reason and asking to talk to a higher level IO who can actually look into my case and figure out what the hold up is and probably give it a push didn't seem to work at all. The other guy at the reception was trying to be more helpful and actually looked up my alien number in their system and said that my Oath hasn't been scheduled yet and there is nothing he can do.

Anyhow, I left with nothing. My whole application from the day I sent it to the interview date took 2.5 months and now I'm stuck at the Oath stage when I see most of the people on this board take the Oath within 2-3 weeks after the interview max.

Any idea what the hold up may be and how long can it possibly take? Also, at the interview she didn't stamp APPROVED on my application, just gave me a N-652 (or whatever it is) saying that I was recommended for approval. Does it mean that it can still be pending supervisors final approval? What else can it be?

I'm really frustrated because I'd prefer not to travel between the interview and the Oath and I cannot make my holiday plans until I know I can get the passport before the end of the year. Any advices, opinions, theories will be highly appreciated!

Patience is the key, I know it is easier said than done with USCIS but take my case. It was 8months between my NOA1(2/23) and my Biometrics (10/21). So wtih USCIS things are never the way they are supposed to be. Just hang on and you will get through and things will work out fine in the end.

Then we went through my application if an changes and I was given a letter with approval notice and information paper about the oath ceremony. :dance:

The IO had some problems with the computer so it took me longer to get out (it was giving him some errors), but the procedure lasted about 10-15 minutes. And an advice - don't take your cell phones - we did the mistake, so DH had to go back to the car.

I also requested a middle name change and was told there is no delay about it and I'll have the oath ceremony next month (I was told the date, but still waiting for the letter before I share it out loud).

Good luck to the other two guys here from Sacramento - nothing to worry about. Everyone was living the building fast and happy. Just make sure you come early enough, because it's hard to find parking (there is a park house with 15 dollars flat rate 2 blocks down the street).

I am looking forward to hearing when your oath date is so that we can get an idea of when ours will be(that is, if everything goes as planned). It would be a good Christmas present. Approved. Got my interview today.

The IO was nice went through my aplication, ask me 6 question and didn't ask for any documents. He said the Oath ceremony will be in mid December.

These are the questions:

Who is Commander in Chief of military?

What are the two major political parties in the United States?

What is the political party of the president?

Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

Name one state that borders Mexico?

There were 13 orginal states. Name three.

Had to read: How many states are in the United States? and had to write down : We have fifty states.

Thank you internetkafe... I'm really worried about interview... and based on other posts I was worrying that it might take one month just to receive Oath letter... If it is 22nd then its a really good news for me...

Thanks - I'm really happy that it's almost over! Now I can go back to Europe and spend some more time with my friends and family :whistle:

Hello Raleigh2009,

I don't know if I can call it progress; I received a YELLOW LETTER about two weeks ago (10-13-2009) requesting me to bring some already- included documents in my N400 application, and I was equally instructed to dress properly for the inteview. Since then, I have not received my IL.

I am so frustrated right now because people that filled their N400 later than when I filled had received their IL. I wish ours come soon.

Thank God my online status change this morning (10302009). I just woke up from sleep to see the long expected sms on my phone; YOUR CASE STATUS HAS CHANGED. So, I huriedly jumped on my PC to see the good news. The meat of the whole story about status change is that my case had been sent to local uscis office for standard interview. I am so happy, guess I shoud be expecting my IL in the mail box very soon. I wish every other person waiting for IL gets it soon. Thanks everybody, I'm getting there.

Me, too! I received an email notification from USCIS at 6:00am this morning that my case has been sent for a standard interview at the local DO. Also received text message (not sure what time I got it).
