What would be considered a safe amount of time to start the immigration process again? My divorce will be finished soon, tho the marriage has been over for a long time. I have met someone else during this time and am curious to know how the USCIS will react when I file the visa paperwork. My intentions are to finalize the divorce in mid August, travel to Egypt during October for a month, then start the K1 process sometime after the first of the new year....

Do you feel that this will raise even more "RED Flags"?

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

If I was the CO, it would raise a red flag for me, but people do it all the time with similar timelines and have sucess. Just be prepared to support the relationship 1000% more than you usually would. Thats my advise.

Good Luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hey Tammy - good to see you again. I have been wondering about how you are doing. :) I would say that yes, it will definitely raise red flags. If I was you, I would make sure that you go into all of this with proof and documentation why your last relationship didn't workout and why you believe this one will. You also need to be prepared to fight hard for it this time as they might want to know why you're doing this a second time after the first one went badly.

BTW, did your husband/soon to be ex adjust his status and remain in the US?

Tammy, forgive me for going there, but I have rethought what I posted originally - are you seriously wanting to go through all of this allover again? Is there honestly someone who is so fantastic that you are ready to go down this soul-baring, private life invading, USCIS hell of a nightmare for a second round? You're a lovely woman who deserves some peace and happiness - even if it is being single peace and happiness. Take some time for yourself and just be TSK.

And if you're asking if it is a safe amount of time - remember this, if you have to ask, then no. It is not.

I adore you, you're a great lady who deserves much more than the load of crapola you were married to. But give it time and truly test the waters with this man...I'd want to make sure that he was worthy of your love, your emotions and your money - cuz this is an investment to say the least.

God bless you. (F)

I say since you sent in the evidence after the AOS interview that it was over and that info of his cheating predates it anyways then you're good to go. As long as you finalize the divorce and get his azz outta there (easier said than done I know) and move on with your life where you make one trip to see the new man. Plus it helps you converted to Islam in that time frame so also document that. It's the same as before in keeping all the records of travel and information what you did who you met especially the family since they seem supportive. If they ask for details just tell it like it is.

MMMM Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but I am ready to go down this road again. A year ago I would have said "NO WAY"!!! But, I was fortunate enough to fall in love with a "friend". We had known each other for 6 months before any mention or idea of a relationship really came to either of us, another 6 months from the decision before I visit Alexandria. He is kind, supportive, funny and my kids listen to him before they do me, lol Anyone who helps a 5th grader with math via skype cannot be to bad.

As far as my marriage with the one from Jordan, well, sad to say I have plenty of documentation proving the marriage has been over for a loooooooooong time. After 2 interview for the AOS, he could not answer the easiest of questions about my family, not even my 3 sons who live with us. It was so bad that the lady that did the interview stated that she doubted the validity of the marriage. That is my biggest concern. However, I have sent documentation to the USCIS office, that proves that I was in the marriage for long term, even if he was not.

Soooooooooooo, inshaa allah, this time around I have Mr. Right!

I agree with taking your time the second time around. I'm very happy that you've found someone that makes you happy but seriously I would wait if not for me then for the children. They get so confused so easily you know and maybe they could use a little alone time with mom? Just my two cents but whatever you do I hope your life is full of happiness this time. :)
