A loooooooooooong time ago, i got into a car accident where I was T-boned by a drunk black lady. I happened to be in a black neighborhood at the time, and to add to the issue, racial tensions were at an all time high due to the fact of some Spanish cop in Miami shooting a black kid who aimed a toy gun at him. Anyhoo, this woman blows a stop sign & t-bones me....many of the residents came out of their houses to see what happened. The woman gets outta her truck, comes up to me stuck inside my car, and starts beating the ####### outta me. All the residents cheered and chanted 'Kill Whitey!' and 'White Devil!' until the cops arrived.

Did they take her to jail? Of course not...no one saw a thing

This was my thought as well. Of course, I don't think that violence solves anything, but I also highly doubt that there are roving mobs randomly attacking. The whole story was told from one side only. Also, it seemed pretty targeted - if it was merely racially motivated, why not send all white people around to the ICU instead of just *one* guy.

Akron police investigate teen mob attack on family

Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.

But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.

It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.

Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family.

The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.

''This was almost like being a terrorist act,'' Marshall said. ''And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?''

They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall's friend as he stood outside with the others.

Who told that part of the story? Probably the one side of the story that is the only one represented here. Was it a response to something the victim may have said previously? We have NO idea!

I'm just saying this hasn't been investigated, they don't know anything but one side of the story.

If a guy pisses off his neighbors but it is a majority black neighborhood, and a fight ensues, why does it have to be motivated other than that the guy might be a total jerk?

And please explain why the "hate" wasn't targeted towards ALL people of the supposedly targeted race? Why just ONE guy? Sounds like the others who were involved only got hurt because they tried to get in the middle.

Bottom line: We have police and detectives for a reason, so they can INVESTIGATE. This hasn't been completed yet, so I reserve my outrage until more understanding has been brought to light. Why so eager to jump to outrage?

Where I lived a few years ago, a white guy at a college party gave a ride home to 3 blacks guys. They tried to rob him and killed him for the $2 in his pocket. They caught the preps shortly thereafter.

The local Sharpton character declared that the community had lost 4 young men.

If 3 white guys had executed a black man there would have been outrage but this was just a another crime against a naive white guy from the suburbs.
