Oh, believe me, I got the sarcasm thing from the beginning, it's just that given the seriousness of the crime described in the OP, I don't think it had any place in the discussion. It had the effect of downplaying the atrocity.

I think if you know a little about MC you'd likely reconsider her approach here as one akin to others' belittling human suffering no matter whom is perpetrating.

Did I say that? What I said was, he had no insurance, he should not have been treated. If he hadn't of been, he would not now be in debt. The debt is all his own fault, not that of anyone else. Health insurance premiums go up because of idiots like this.

The only way I know that poor black people can pay any bills is if someone else pays them.
