Hello,

Me and my SO are filling for the K-1 at the end of the month (Can't wait!)

However, being the paranoid type, I like to read ahead....wayyyy ahead. And I noticed for when you get the NOA2, they request more proof of an ongoing relationship...only this time it's from NOA1-present. I MIGHT be going to visit him within that time frame (Will have photo's and such if I do), but if I don't...we don't really have much proof. I talk to him over the internet, using a program called Ventrilo (basicly an online phone)....so there's no phone bills, or emails really, because we are ALWAYS talking on that program. Unless we are at work, we text. Will that suffice?

Thanks :)

It is not paranoid to plan ahead. But I believe you have mis=read something. They do not ask for proof of ongoing realtionship with the petition (I-129f) though some people choose to send it. The I-129f asks for evidence of meeting in person one time in the last two years, that is all. Proof of ongoing realtionship will be asked for at the visa interview. Have some.

You will need to do SOME of your communication by a means that generates evidence, phone calls, emails, etc. Even a pen and paper and postage stamps.

May i ask....... would it help if they )or me and my Fiance) set up a bank account togethar after filing the I-129F?? i find myself in a similar situation

Note: due to recent events US Homeland Security and other participating countries have clamped down on joint accounts. In the US you must show a photo id and have a SSN to open a joint account. I tried this years ago and was told no. She was scheduled to move to Canada temporarily and so I went to RBC. They told me no deal.

PS, it is amusing the number of couple I see floating around on here because of WoW and Blizzard, that game has made a lot of lives very different...

Haha, yes, Blizz has a lot of love lives to take credit for... a friend of mine (Aussie) met her Canadian husband on WoW :) In a roundabout way, WoW helped me meet my fiance too... he didn't start playing until after he met me (because of me!) but when I was in the US on my J-1, I met a guildmate in New York and Jesse was a friend of a friend of his... hehe. Strangely though, as addicted as I am to WoW (been playing almost since release and still going) I think I would've felt a little silly if I'd met the love of my life there, I'm sort of glad I met Jesse in the "real world" - though WoW certainly helps us feel like we're doing something together despite the miles apart.

July 2007 - met Jesse at a beach party held by mutual friends in Long Island, NY

May 2008 - J-1 visa expired, had to move back to Australia

July 2008-September 2008 - lived with Jesse for three months in Staten Island, NY

March 2009 - Jesse comes to Australia for 3 weeks

April 2009 - Engaged!

05/20/09 - I-129F petition mailed in

05/22/09 - NOA1!

05/25/09 - touch

09/09/09 - NOA2!

10/01/09 - due to fiance's illness, we are abandoning pursuit of K-1 at this point. Packet 3 received from consulate but won't be returned.
