How far in advance should I get my wife to sign documents for the NVC?

Hey everyone. I received my NOA1 for my I-130 two weeks ago, so I don't expect to receive my NOA2 any time soon. (Doesn't stop me from hoping, though...) In any case, I will see my wife again in a month, and I am wondering if I should have her fill out and sign the DS-230 when we meet, so I can have it ready for submission as soon as the NOA2 is issued. But, I don't know how the NVC will feel about something like that--do they nitpick about stuff like dates? (If the DS-230 has a sign date of August and the NVC doesn't even assign me a case number until Nov, would they be suspicious of the authenticity of the document?)

I'd really appreciate any guidance on this. Thanks!

2 months ago when I was filling in the DS-230, they updated the form, so even though I have filled in the old forms that wouldn't count. I don't think they'll change the DS-230 form again in the next few months but you never know. What I did was I printed a form, then on a blank sheet at the same spot where signature would be, I put my signature. I did this with 10 blank sheets. And sent them to my husband. For filling in of the DS-230 I used Foxit Reader. When you try to save the copy of the filled in DS-230 it says that file is not savable. But when you're going to close the file, it's asking you if you'd like to save the changes you made. You click yes, and boom... DS-230 saved with info :) So, I filled in DS-230, e-mailed it to my husband, he said sthg needed to be changed from my info, he changed it and printed it over the sheets with my signature that I've sent him earlier. This way you don't need to worry.

If someone else has other ideas, please, share and help...

Just have her fill it out and sign it but not date it. You can date it before you send it in.
