I'm sure each local office does it differently, but here is a recent experience out of Newark, NJ.

Why such fear about the interview anyway?

You already asked about the interview and were given all the info http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=206357

What's with all the fear from interview? Unless you have a fake marriage just for immigration purposes, you have nothing to fear.

reply no dear,

our marriage is not fake as we have 2 years son too. but i don't know why? i am too much curious about what kind of questions they ask? nothing much and also because me and my husband doesn't have so many comingal documets to show them that is another reason i am worried? may be they reject me?

All you can do is your best. Losing sleep over something you cannot control (what they will ask you and whether or not they'll reject you) is, frankly, stupid.

Prepare the to the best of your ability and let the rest go.

The interview is likely somewhat similar to the interview that we went through for the initial AOS. It was formal but friendly. The purpose is not to try to catch you out but to confirm the marriage is legitimate.

Think of it this way. If I were to ask you 5 questions such as what is your favorite color, what is your favorite food, what town do you live in etc you wouldn't have a single worry and would be happy to answer each question without pause. Mainly because the answers would be truthful and you would have no need to think up an answer or be fearful that you were lying.

Now apply it to the upcoming interview. He/she will likely ask you similarly easy questions such as what hobbies does your husband have. What does he do at work, and so on. What I am trying to say, in a very long way(!), is that these are questions about your everyday life. They will be VERY easy if you are in a marriage and VERY difficult to answer quickly without looking suspicious if if you are not.

So, don't worry. The questions wont be anything that will cause you a problem.

After several years of marriage and living together every day if you need to see a list so you can rehearse answers you really need to ask yourself why?? If my wife gets the questions wrong about me we have a far bigger issue than just failing an interview!
