On the form I-325A is it ok to us a US address for my husband? He has worked on a boat for the last 5 years and really doesnt have an other home address but our home in Indiana and his parents home in South Africa. Is it legal for him to use a US address when he isnt a citizen and only has a B1/B2. His name is on the Morgage of our home here in Indiana.

In my opinion, it would be profoundly unwise to write that his address has been in the USA, if he has not had permission to be in the USA. Consider his parents address, but I believe boats have "addresses", consider using those. If my recollection about ships having addresses is correct, I think that address of the boat is the best bet.

People may have other thoughts, but that's my take.

Since your husband does not live in the US, it would be unwise to list his current address as one in the US. It may create further confusion or a delay of the case.

My husbands mail comes here to our house in Indiana and I forward it on to him at what ever port they may be in at the time. Right now they are in Tahiti. All of this paperwork seems pretty easy to fill out until it comes to the address part but I think I am going to list the boat as his address because really it is. It just seems wierd.
